Republicans LOVE fake news it's not surprising that one restaurant owner realized he can pull an Alex Jones and make huge amounts of money by creating fake news, without the overhead of course.

Sure there are fake news on both sides the difference is Democrats can spot bs much quicker than Republicans.

Is it wrong to trick gullible people for your own financial gain?

I think it is when it comes to fortune tellers and people who prey on the sick or elderly, like Peter Popoff and Jim Bakker, so it has to be to prey on gullible Trump supporters, too, right? This is a guy who's playing off of people's fears and emotions.

I can't say, man. Whether this is wrong or not. Interesting moral/ethical question..

Democrats love fake news as well. They loved all those pre-election predictions of a Hillary Clinton landslide win. That turned out to be BS too.

There is a difference between a projected probability and an outright lie. But I would not expect you to understand.

My go-to election site predicted a 35% chance of a Trump win. So tell me again how the pope endorsed Donald Trump. Tell me how Donald is going to put Hillary in jail. Tell me about how Obamacare is so terrible. Spin me a tale about George Soros hiring protesters.

It seems to be a personal choice. I cannot do it but worked in enough situations to know that there are many that thrive on it and love it.

@tyler.durden knows what I am talking about.

Listening to the interview with Cohen on NPR yesterday.

How is this different from National Enquirer who's been in business since the 70s?

People should approach web info with caution..but don't we know this?

There was also a piece on NPR about the ability to distinguish real news from bullshit. They tested high school kids and found out that most believe anything they read regardless of it lacking credible sources or citations. They contrasted how a fact-checker goes about doing this vs a reg'ler person. The fact checker looks at the site and the context of the story rather than the story alone. Dimwits look at the picture and headline.

Think of all the links that pie has posted that also have ridiculously false and racist stories. They don't seem to bother her on bit tho.
