Faith Is as Ignorant As Athiesm

i think you either misunderstand the term "atheist" or the term "scientist". where is the experiment that might lead an atheist to prove that there is no god? mere logic fails us when we start to discuss those things beyond our experience. without some substance to apply a test to, any conclusion is merely conjecture. does a scientist say that just because he has no way to prove something it must be false? an agnostic may make the claim that he is searching for the answer in some scientific manner, but the atheist has already come to the conclusion that there is no god and the only way to do that is through a leap of faith.

.
atheists wouldnt conduct experiments to prove that god is nonexistent, cause they already know hes none existent. thats there belief...

and leaps of faith dont happen with atheist cause theres no faith involved.

and please dont associate Scientology and agnostics.

We also don't conduct experiments to prove the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, or Santa Clause exist or don't exist.

does a scientist say that just because he has no way to prove something it must be false?
Actually yes, he does. If you can't prove it's true then a scientist won't act as if it is. They way you have worded it is purposefully misleading, you are implying that something MUST be true if a scientist can't prove it to be false when you know, or should know, that scientists don't prove negatives.

You should also know that "logic" experiments are rarely logical and seldom experiments. Instead they are a way to convince others of your view by the manipulation of language.

.....leaps of faith don't happen with atheist cause there's no faith involved.
then what would you call the unsupported belief that one knows enough about the unknowable to claim god does not exist?;-)

and please don't associate Scientology and agnostics.

i wasn't aware i was implying anything, merely pointing out the limitations of science. something unproven is not decided to be either true or false, it is unknown. don't like the unknown? sorry, but that's all part of the game.;-)

Yes I agree, but the majority of athiest I have seen preach and argue as much as any christian I think thats still bringing yourself down to there level.
I'm more along the lines of Atheist, and I argue for several reasons. 1) because christians get to run their piehole 24/7 and wash delicate minds about atheists are going to be the ruin of humanity (even though religion has proven itself to be the ruin of humanity). So I see it more as sticking up for myself than trying to change anyones mind. 2) and this is the big one here: Religion runs this country, look at our presidential election, they had to spend weeks making a big deal to prove how each one is a good church going man to get the votes. So If I am expected to live by christian ideals, follow christian rules and all in all live MY life according to someone else' religious standards, I'm going to ask a few questions and get a little argumentative.

i agree with title to this thread.

i can appreciate atheism. there probably isn't a supreme being out there.

but because there's no evidence either way, i wouldn't accept a label like 'atheist'. to have hold to a belief (have faith) in the unknown and unproven is ignorant. i leave room for the unknown.
