Failed Bho Help!

I grinded up 7 grams of bud, put it in the extractor and ran the vector butane through . Very very little oil drained out onto my pirex dish and the rest was clear butane. I put the dish into a hot water bath, it proceeded to bubble but not for long . When I scraped up the remaining oil from the pirex there was maybe 1 dabs worth . This is the second time this happened to me and I'm furious. I dumped out all the bud from the extractor and I'm going to try it again when it drys out . Someone please help me .thanks

Don't grind up your bud. If it's not trim or shake, I would suggest cutting it up into marble size pieces with scissors.

Put a little bit in, then push it down. Don't pack it super tight, but so there isn't a lot or big empty pockets, just push down till there is some resistance. And make sure you are filling the tube completely to the top with packed in material.

After it's fully packed, just using a rubber band, wrap a non-bleached (brown) coffee filter around the opening, then blow away.

Also if you try the same weed you just blown you'll just be wasting butane and time if your first yield was already so low.

Take note that not all bud is good for oil, and some buds are better then others. I've blown a half oz and got a gram of oil back, and I've blown a half oz and got four grams back. You normally only get 10-15% oil return, anything over 20% is a great return.

Something is still going wrong cause I know I should get more than .001 of bho. I just went through my second run and I have zero bubbles when it purged . Everything was packed in the extractor with no space.

you need a bit of space in your tube so the butane can fill said little spaces, and then strip the cannabinoids.

Well if you have good material and do it exactly what I said you will be fine because I know it works.

I don't know what the dimensions of your tube or the quality of your material.

I do actually recommend grinding it up, you just have to be sure it isnt packed too tightly, and any kind of blowback is covered when you swap cans.

Yeah if you want a little bigger yield and sacfarise quality and looks go ahead and grind it up. You want great colored, glassy, potent shatter, I wouldn't suggest it.

Do what you want, you obviously aren't taking my words into consideration when you turn around and do exactly what I told you not to. I'm trying to help and give you a "fool proof" way of going about it. Hey you can always waste of bunch of your perfectly fine smoking flower on attempts until you figure it out.

how long are you holding the butane to the tube?

Do you need 12 threads of the same thing? We already know you failed. No need to post 11 more times...

Like 5-8 seconds or so. After that its nothing but butane.
