Faggot flies

Hi everyone,

I have little faggot fungus gnats in my grow room. I know that the larvae are killed on contact with hydrogen peroxide. My question is...is it ok to use hydrogen peroxide in rockwool cubes? All the things I read about they are always talking about soil mediums. Thanks in advance.

I recently used it in my rockwool cubes and have seen no ill effects actually I have been adding at least a cap full to all my water every other day for about 2 months and have seen no ill effects. I'm no chemist but my understanding is that it really shouldn't harm anything as it breaks down into oxygen and water when exposed to even light. Its only my experience though and I have no intention to stop using so IMO go for it.

I use dishes of molasses and water to attract them into the sugary sticky goo in old pot trays.
You need to add some extra water every day and stir it up to stop a skin forming on the top that they can walk on.
Once they are in they cant get out.
They will actively seek the molasses and eradicate themselves within a couple of weeks.:blsmoke:

i know you're pissed but faggot flies? why is saying "faggot" and "that's gay" acceptable but racial slurs are not? besides, if they were faggot flies - that would be a good thing - no baby flies!

sorry for being off-topic and to be clear - with very, very rare exceptions, i don't care for censorship in any form. i would prefer we live with the racial (and other) slurs in order to preserve liberty ... but if we're going to have "speech-codes" they might as well be consistently hypocritical.

now back to our regularly scheduled program...
