facial symmetry

i don't get it.. they don't look like they simply copied one side of the face to the other side, but rather some of those pix they've changed the shape of the persons face.. ie, some people with a round face, they elongated it, and the one guy who has a round chin in the second pix he now has a square chin and jaw line.. how on earth is that making him symmetrical? just looks like they're changing peoples features however they please imo.

this one as well.. and i hate how all of these before and after pix always change the hairstyles to make them look completely different.. it's not just with these pix, i always say the same thing about the before and after for those skin care commercials on tv..

^ I know what you mean. They'd have to cover the hair to get that impression out of the way. No photoshop here other than to slice the images, duplicate sections, and rotate. I've done this a few times before. It really shows you something about how you see. I'm not winning any races in the total symmetry department :)

edit: one article I read about this ended with "your face looks best the way it was given to you, this 'more or less' proves that". Cool stuff, Tammy Faye.

They have a booth at the Seattle science center that takes a pic of you and shows you symmetrically, both sides. It's always fucking creepy as hell.

it's not so much that they changed the hairstyle. the image is just mirrored. it's like taking your face all the way up to the edge of a mirror and put half of your face up against the edge. if you get what I'm saying, lol .

so the left pic is the right side of his face mirrored and the pic on the left is vice-versa. so this dude actually sports a side comb

they don't show the original pic. there needs to be 3 pictures there to fully understand. it took me a second to figure it out. ;)

Yeah, that bugged me. I wanted to see the originals.

And 60,000+ posts? Wow - No wonder it's called "hell"...

I'm not sure, it could be the wake and bake but I don't think this is real in any sense.....I'm looking at the necks and shoulders, in some case they don't even match up.

Broad shoulders on the right, even the chest hair seems different

Wide neck on the left, the tracheal notch area of the neck is different

Moles on the left none on the right, lips are different on the right

The moles again disappear

it shows up like that cause half the face is mirrored in half. if you look at the shadows underneath the neck, it's mirrored also. the left pic is an 'open" shadow and the right pic ther shadow comes to a 'close'

those are MIRRORED images of the left and right side.

you take a pic and cut it in half, then mirror it.
