I haven't looked at the pics so are they in a medium? Hydroton or perlite is fine but if it's jiffy pellets, rapid rooters, coco, or some other water retaining medium then no you don't want them in water.

Get an airstone/pump asap.

I hope that's sarcasm, I'd like to see mainline try to flower plants in a 5" tray and keep roots off the bottom. You can't do that in any medium /style of grow.

I believe this is true. They are 5 inches deep. Made for SoG basically.

I assume they will hit the bottom but I have tons of O2 and will get an air stone to help.

i said id help the guy from seed to harvest but im not to clued up on his system ( i said this from the start) but he seems to have it sorted , its just the weak seedlings which are on the mend and he's on his way to a nice grow .

3 mothers , 60 sog harvest from clones every 2 months is what i said id get him .

and i will :)

and i believe someone in trippys threads said " good luck with trying to grow full plants(which he's not,just single cola sog) in 5" .

there's been a set back and a few teething problems with the seedlings but that's it ..... No big deal :)

good luck to the guy I say:)

e is no reason to grow full plants in a 5 inch deep system. Plus one cola getting more light will get the same if not better yield with aero and the nutrients.

Will keep you updated on the recovery.
The great thing about fucking up is I now know what not to do for my outside grow this year.
