Anyone do this on a regular basis? just wondering if it gets to be a huge hassle with the roots and being super careful with them. and also are the stunted after the transplant? if so, how many days compared to moving them into a DWC or ebb flow setup?

I have never cloned and not done cloner to soil....the trick is to transplant it while the roots are still kind of short.....I get growth 2 days after I put it in soil. The roots were no more than an inch long

Ive had more luck cloning in dirt than my DWC cloner, but usually if youre moving a clone from hydro to dirt, try to do it when the roots are less than an inch long. I put mine in dirt as soon as i can see white bumps where roots are beginning to form.

My DWC cloner worked just as effectively as dirt, but for some reason they took nearly twice as long to root.

I think the medium stayed warmer in the soil than in the cloner. If I had a heating pad, im sure my dwc setup may have worked out better.

Same problem I have/had. The temp. I didn't have a heating mat of water heater for the cloner I made so my roots took like all ten days to show up. Some better than others but if they had 70 degree water I'm sure in five days they would of been ready. And thanks for the advice on when to transplant. Looks like I have some that will suffer during the change to soil
