extended dark cycle

me and my buddy were talking, and we were thinking that an extended dark cycle would give buds more time to grow at night, since this is when most floral development occurs... it couldnt work within the usual 24 hour cycle, but that's no matter. The idea would be to give them 12 hours of light, and 13-14 hours of dark (an extra hour or two darkness). Maybe i will try it on my next crop, any comments on this thought?

You will just get a bigger yield, but it will occur a little slower. I usually do this the last two weeks to give it a boost.

how much extra darkness do you give your plants?

1 hour for every week. So I start off with 13 and go to 14. Then Kill them.

sounds good. im going to give it a try when the time comes leading to two days of "night"
