EXPPERIENCED SCROGers NEEDED!!

HERE ARE MY TWO PLANTS. THE SCREEN IS 15X24 WITH 2X2 SCREEN. I WILL BE USING 2 70W HPS FOR FLOWERING. MY QUESTION IS THIS. SHOULD I BEGIN FLOWERING NOW?? OR SHOULD I LET IS GO A LITTLE WHILE. I HAVE NOT WORKED WITH THIS STRAIN BEFORE. IT IS CALLED MENDO THAI. IT DOES NOT SEEM TO RESEMBLE ANY THAI I HAVE SEEN ALSO I SEEMS TO BE MORE INDICA DOMINATE. WHAT WOULD BE YOUR EXPERT OPINION???

I'd put it to flower now. They'll double from what you got - keep training them under the screen for the first 2 weeks then let em go and you should end up with an awsome, full screen of buds...

Thats what I was thinking. But do you think i can get away with a couple more days. I still need to build/buy a reflector that will house my two 70w hps or should I start the flowering and switch once I have the reflector? Also any ideas about reflectors that require little tools to assemble or somthing I can buy that will work?

There are plenty of DIY reflectors easy and cheap you can do. Paint it flat white with Hi-Temp spray paint. I've seen people use cheap aluminum cooking trays that you get at the grocery store. Anything beats nothing. There are 12X24 sheets of pebbled aluminum at Home Depot, with a pair of snips and a piece of thick paper to make a templet from, you can make just about anything. Or if heat is an issue, hit ebay and get a 'bake around tube" and put the 2X70 watts in it and vent it. Tell us a little more and someone will point you in the right direction. What do you want/need? What the size of the space? heat issues?

A couple of days might be good - for some reason I get nervous about crowding.

Don't depend on switching your light to go to 12 12.

I used to grow with CFLs, and the're fine if you use 16 of em. By the time you reach the equivilent light output of HPS you're using more watts and generating more heat since the ballasts cannot be relocated as an hps can.

I switched to 12/12 on saturday. I still need to build a reflector for the two hps but I have not been feeling to well so that will have to wait a few more days. I plant to have it built by the end of the week. I think i have chosen a simple rectagular reflector. I will use a 6 x 3/4" piece of wood for the main backbone of the reflector. I will then use two pieces of cardboard that are flat whit on one side and brown on the other. I will also attache a pc fan to one end of the reflector to alow me to get the light as close as possible. Right now I have the one hps at about 3 inches from the screen and two 26w cfls about 1" form the screen. Any thoughts that might help imrpove this design please let me know. I wll post some pictures in a little while of how I plant for this to work.

What do you think about this design? I was looking at a local harware store and there was these 6"dia aluminum pipe I was thinking that this might work better.
