Probably the coolest thing is how its just black.. nothing but blackness until one of those little.critters float across the screen then it slowly fades to blackness again as it gets further. Wild how nothingness can consume light so easily

4:05 into that video. Wow, that's one mean looking fish. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the species in that video have been around since the jurassic period. The deep, deep sea where it gets pitch black is absolutely terrifying. I can see why it's often said that we know less about the ocean than we know about space, it's just another world down there. Still clinging onto the thought that there's some absolute behemoth slumbering in the depths of the ocean, just waiting to surface.:twisted:

Wow, I've never really considered the extent of the mid-oceans spreading zone. That picture shows it looping south of S.America and Africa as well as splitting up into the Suez area and extending from the San Andreas fault. and the Poles are not in it at all. Very Cool!

The underwater rivers and waterfalls blew my mind. I guess that these flowing rivers are made up of colder/ denser water that is moving at its own pace with the current?

Wow, I am glad this video sparked your interest. I have enjoyed all these videos so far. True mystery is always much more satisfying than myth.

And delvite, that is a spooky video. I thought it was fake at first because it looks so perfect. It is actually a rare jellyfish.

Deepstaria enigmatica, is a jellyfish of the family Ulmaridae first described in 1967 by F.S. Russel. The bell of this jellyfish is very thin and wide (up to approx. 60 cm), and resembles a translucent, folding sheet or “lava lamp” as the animal moves.

^^ Man, those box jellies are fuckin' scary! One killed my man Will Smith. Okay, enough of all these beautiful ocean animals. Check out these ugly fuckers. My favs are the lumpfish (looks like a big loogie) and the anglerfish is sci-fi monsterous (if I saw one coming at me I'd shit myself and scream like a girl)...

Strangely, this video has "We Wish you a Merry Christmas' playing in the background, possibly to offset disturbing fish pics...
