I need someone with experience to diagnose my plant. It is in DWC and I know its not nute burned. The lower leaves started to get mild rust on them and they were drying out to the touch. I thought nute burn but then changed the res and applied full strength nutes and its helped but i want it all cleared up. 1 plant really got it bad. Please help if you know. They still look great but it bothers me. All of the plants seem to exibit this symptom at least a bit on lower fan leaves. they are lowryder 2 and are 17 days old. My ph is at 6.3 . Could the slightly high ph cause these symptoms? Please help. The 1 pic is the bad plant. the rest are nowhere near that.

could be a touch of nute burn but looks more like a ph issue to me.. your ph in hydro should be about 5.5 optimally.. never below 5 or above 6

flush with clean water and ph your nutes

Finally thanks man. thought it might be nute lockout from slightly high ph. i'll lower it to 5.7 and see.

i would agree about the PH, but 6.3 shouldnt do major damage like that? those are necrotic leisons, dead tissue, not gonna recover those leaves, silly question what do your roots look like? whats your rez temp?

yes if you lock out your nutes, the plant cannot function properly, and in a hydro setup it only takes a matter of days to look like that. you are correct though the leaves will not recover, but the new growth should look good.

since we're all hear, maybe you guys can help me out, i have an aero-tube setup and i use the full line of GH nutes, its a constant battle maintaining my PH, after i mix my nites i have it at 5.5 on the dot, after one day the PH goes to 6.5...is this kind of fluctiation normal? is it the nutes? i got plants 4 weeks into flower and they are drinking a ton, not taking up as much nutes as water, as you would expect the PPMs climb when they drink, well what im getting at is the constant up and down of the solution gonna hurt my plants? they look great and most likly spend more time with a ph of 6.5 than 5.5 , i have used dyna-gro before this one and i didnt have these crazy ph flux, aside from adding PH down everyday what can i do?

you may not be mixing them thoroughly enough, or you may have problems with your medium.. i usually mix em and let em sit for an hour with a pump at the bottom of my mixing tank so they can swirl around for a bit.. also if you are using regular water it may be interfering.. i use RO water which means what i put in is what is in there.

i live in a big city, water around here is 7.0PH and 25-30 PPM, my medium is clay pellets in net pots hanging in the air inside a 4in PVC tube, and yea i usually mix it up and plug the rez back in,so i should let it sit mixing and let the PH do its thing then re-adjust before i plug it in, i also mix my solution with a hose blasting it around
