Experimental Stealth

Hello everyone!

In advance I just want to say thank you for at least reading the second sentence in this post, it is much appreciated.

I have several questions regarding types of light, fixtures, lumens, growth space as well as when to veg/flower

Let's use the scientific method for a moment.
Problem: I have no weed :(

Constraints:
1. I'm broke (which means using CFL's or some variant or in the future using LED's )
2. I only have 45 x 45 x 76 cm or 1.5 x 1.5 x 2.5 ft Size of container
3. Seeds have to be "Afghani Special" ... (regular)
4. indoor temp. 80F ... It is fucking HOT right now
5. This is just an experiment to get my ears wet so no ferts (or very little ferts )
6. Limited ventilation (meaning no way to get the air from indoors to outdoors)

My Hypothesis on the situation:

Although the space in which to grow in is very small I suspect that if I do 12/12 lighting from seed then the size of the plant will be rather small thus fitting in the box. This also takes into account that Afghani is an indica and the lighting won't be very strong.

So hear come the questions (please note that I did do "some" research and I have the general idea of how lighting, space etc. etc. works but bear with me anyways please)

Questions:
1. What kind of lights to use? I used this site as a reference http://www.1000bulbs.com/
I was thinking perhaps 1 warm light and 2 cool light would be enough for two small plants (and hope for a female) if they were only a few cms away from the plants
(trying to get 35-40W/sqft )

2. I think the space is large enough IF I start the 12/12 cycle right from the start and wanted several of your glorious opinions. So is the space large enough?
3. How bad would 1 small plant smell up a room if left completely undisturbed? Is a carbon scrubber the only way?
4. I have read that a plants cycle is genetic and will not change regardless of the lighting and will only stress the plant. Is this true? I was under the impression that information is false.
5. What kind of fixture would be best? or does it not matter?
6. Has anyone heard of the game called "Cube World?" If you haven't I would recommend taking a look at it.

Cheers!

1. Get cfls, since you're only using 3 I would suggest 45w(actual watts)
2. I don't know how much 12/12 would work for height, but to conserve space do some LST or a scrog
3. Smell varies with strain, but there's other ways to control smell, there is a sticky on it in indoor growing I do believe
4. I have no clue
5. You can get a vanity strip, individual sockets and wire them, shop lamps, etc
6. Never heard of it

To start I used three bulbs, 2 x 46W 6500K and 1 x 23W 2700K. Plants tend to do better with a mixed spectrum.
Start on 18/6 to mimic real life growth for veg. Remember, the plant should double in size from veg to flower. It's at flower that you should switch to 12/12, however, there is nothing wrong with starting from seed at 12/12.
There are a number of ways to eliminate odor. If you haven't started to plant seeds yet, I wouldn't worry too much about this yet, however, keep it in consideration when setting up your box.
I believe that it's false. You can force a plant to flower at anytime once it's big enough.
There are a number of ways, take a look at my latest posts on my thread and you'll see that it's not that complicated.

Good luck, post some pics and let us see your progress.

Will do. just started germinating. Pictures will be up in a week or two depending on how long it takes the seeds to root and sprout.

Also went 4 bulbs because there was a 4x splitter in the 'ole garage. 2x6500k-40W 2x2700k-26W are the lights I opped for.

Also went with germinating 2 seeds because they aren't fem, so I might even get reasonably unlucky. This is also why opting for 12/12 is best I think. They can be fem'd easily

I don't think there is a way to guarantee the success of a fem plant, that is in the genetics. I started with three seeds germed, one died. the other two I had under 3 46W 6500K cfls until they got their 4th or 5th node then I moved them into a bigger cab and put them under 2 46W 6500K, 2 23W 2700K and 1 5000k bulb (can't remember wattage).
I started 18/6 from germ.

I meant identified as female. Sorry I'm not really familiar with the lingo quite yet, I'm very noobish in that regard (as well as every other regard)

Anyways, I decided to put up pictures earlier than planned, because I just finished the majority of my stealth box! WOOP!
and by majority I mean I threw everything into a box and called it art

So questions again :)

1. is 79.3 CFM/2100 RPM enough to pull air through a smallish carbon scrubber? If not I can just stack two on top of each other.
-Dimensions 120 x 120 x 25 (mm)
-3.12Watt
2. will the blue led bother my plants?
3. is a 12V 550mA enough to power a third fan assuming the above information is duplicated across 3 fans?
4. the background is tinfoil; I read that that reflects heat but does that really matter if I have an intake and outtake?

my little seeds are still little seeds still so I have plenty of time to figure all of that out. I'm going to place them in the finished box next week same time.
