Experiment. How Many 5 Gallon Smart Pots in 8 x 8?

Trippy not to be negative to you but i think youre overestimating your plant potential (6 oz from a plant vegged for only 30 days is very unlikely.) Overcrowding your tent with that many plants under a scrog. Leds are great i own the solar storm 440. But to say the platinum led is the best out there is generous at most. Then to discredit hps is bias at best. And to say 4lbs from 3k worth of led is low is just untrue. In fact its very average. Seems to me you are setting yourself up for failure. Not to be mean or discouraging.
This is commercial Grow.
Second Platinum LED has the best PAR tested and second is Kind K5.
Im not debating about LED, as I have seen the results.
Anyways, 4+ oz per plant is expected from 3k watts of LED.

I have 3 growers using Platinum and 2 KIND.
Both getting over 1 GPW in a scrog system.

Understanding how LED works is what you need to do.
Im not here to debate yield and LED vs LED.
Look for yourself.

Ill be putting 25 in an 8 x 8.

Seeing as about 12 inches per plant in an 8 x 8 is 25.

36 is overcrowding.

Thanks for the opinion.
You should look into Platinum and Kind.
Par is by far the best and spectrum is wonderful.
Cheap LED gets you low par. PAR = yield lumens are for humans.

I have a 3x3 tent. The general rule of thumb is 1 plant/ 2 square feet. I'm using 5 gal smart pots in my 3x3. Since I have 9 sq. Ft. The most plants I can fit comfortably is 4. I'm doing the SCROG method as well. So my advice is given based on research and my own personal experience. And your right, 4+ oz. is what you can expect from your LED light as well as an HPS. I'm expecting that same yield from my current grow of purple haze. This particular Haze strain average yield is 550g/m^2. So I expect 4 oz. Dry weight. Hopefully I get a little bit more.

But good luck on your grow & future success!

Well again didnt mean to ruffle your feathers. I do understand commercial growing and I've definitely used led lights before. I have the solar storm 440. There's a section o riu under indoor growing using led lights. Please go there and check it out. There are some expert led guys there. Ask their opinion of your advanced light. And especially that kind led. Cheap chinese rebrand joke. Advanced is decent but... Well check those guys out for yourself. These are the led lights they'll recommend you buy. Hans panel, area 51 and apache tech. Or they'll recommend you build your own light. And as good as many of these guys are they'll agree 1 gram per watt is not an easy task with any lighting system. I'm not hating on you just tried to give you the real. And 4 ozs per plant with 30 day veg with a tent stuffed full of plants is not easy. But maybe you can do it. Good luck and please check out the led section of this site before you try to school me on Chinese rebranded LEDs.

I am not talking about Advanced LED I am talking about Platinum.
Seems you dont know much about LED's.

Have a look here mate.

As well as the p900

I really am not here to debate PAR or spectrum with you.
See for yourself.

Platinum not Advanced LED.

Platinum LED is best as of currently
Kind K5 is second
Lush Lighting Dominator is 3rd

But as I said I have no reason toa grue as the numbers are there.

I have done and seen tests and spoken to growers.

Platinum is number 1 for PAR intensity and spectum.

Also here are results from leadsing LED PAR tested

Live...

So do your research before you come in here to spread misinformation without PAR backups.

Ok do whatever u feel. Not about to argue with u. Neither of us benefit from that. Do a grow journal and ill follow. Good luck...

I have no need to argue at all.
The proof is right there, best PAR and best spectrum.
No further evidance required.
Ill do a grow journal once setup :)
lets not fight.

But he wasn't lieing when he said cheap Chinese rebranded LEDs. For all that money you spent on those lights I would of went with a 1000w double ended set up or a CMH set up for the money. Kind ,platinum , lush , all have bad efficiency which is any led guru is concerned about. Your lights work and are good but to led wizards it's all about the numbers . Cobs are about to put the LED market outta business anyhow good luck and you'll do just fine with platinum lights even though there Chinese rebranded . Good day sir

I love when I hear people say how COB will put them out of business.
I hope you realize that COB is just a bunch of 1w LED in series.

Im going to PM you and have a talk.

Im not here to fight just hear to learn and inform.

The Platinums are very good lights.

China makes almost everything.

I do understand that Cree and Bridgelux and Epistar are the big ones
but if you can get LEDs that have high PAR and perfect spectrum that does not mattter.

All LED are made in China other than a few.

Also if I had the time id love to build my own LED or if there were serious COB LED's out there would be great.
Or id follow Growmou5 here
https://www.rollitup.org/t/growmau5s-bml-spydr-clone-a-diy-led-build.864115/

why cloned a BML Spyder and good a great yield.

Not here to fight but Platinum as you can see has beautiful PAR and spectrum is on point.

Efficiency is also great and pulling 515 watts from the wall from the p900.

I know a few people who use Platinum and are getting over a gpw with 30 day veg.

Believe it or not thats up to you.

Ill have a grow journal up at some point to prove this.

Over at another forum there are several journals.
Proof is in the pudding.
