Expanding my 300W fixture to 3 separate fixtures

Hey guys,

Hope everyone had a great summer! I worked my ass off, but it was all worth it now that I can expand my COB setup and relax with the plants for 6 months.

My first fixture was 6 36V Vero 29 se 3000k 90CRI @1400. It did great, but for the new space, I’m going to mix it up as far as spectrum and CRI.

The two new fixtures will be identical in dimensions and power, but I chose all new COBs to compliment the 6 from the original fixture.

Here is the new setup with the 3 fixtures side by side. Dimensions are 36”x16” for each fixture and all 3 will hang over a 4’x5’ canopy.image.jpg

This setup allows me to keep the 3000ks from the original fixture pretty much intact, besides having to split the 6 COB loop in half.

Looks like it will be a good grow, you plan on making this a quasi grow log then?
Sure, that’s not a bad idea! I am still a noob with only 3 grows under my belt (2 indoor and 1 outdoor)

In all 3 grows, I focused on topping and training to maximize yield on a low number of plants. Indoors I did 2 plants in a 20”x46” space and outdoors I did 4 plants in 10 gallon grow bags.

All together, I harvest about 2 lb from all 8 plants over all of last year.

As you guys can see, I’m adding a bigger bloom space, and have more room to expand as well. I’ve decided to pop a bunch of seeds to start my hunt for a few good cuts to grow out as mothers.

There are:
6 reg Fuck OG from Ninefold Collective
6 fem orange harambe #1 from ethos (1 doesn’t seem to want to sprout)
2 fem rainmaker from Ethos (neither have sprouted)
And
13 Seeds I won in a giveaway on IG that are supposed half goji og and half a blue Kush cross they were working on.

All 13 of the giveaway seeds popped within 2 days with big healthy taproots.E1A95CE3-46A7-45B9-978F-701DFDCEE8CC.jpeg

These have been planted, but I haven’t taken pictures yet and it will probably be a couple days before hey are above soil.

I am also still waiting on the last 2 fuck og and 4 Orange harambe to germ, as it was a secondary decision to go ahead and pop the rest of these strains.

I definitely will not be flowering or cloning everything, as the males will be separated and anything week or leggy will be culled.

I plan on staying very organized and keeping detailed notes to be picky when it comes to choosing which plants to clone.

I will keep the clone mothers in veg until the first run is harvested, and after curing and drying the bud, I will decide if either will earn their place in the mother room.

Stay tuned folks! I’m sure I will have a ton of questions throughout this whole grow!

Ah, I love when a plan starts to come together. It’s taken a little longer than I wanted, but I am almost done. I need to do some wire management, tidy up, and put more sunfilm in. 01B315B2-F666-4BA9-96EF-59C09D99DF4E.jpeg

The two rainmakers and one of the harambes never sprouted. As of right now I have:
6 Fuck OG testers from Ninefold Collective
3 Orange Harambe #1 from Ethos
13 Mystery (half goji og and half blue Kush
2 Orange harambe still germing

This is my first time running a soilless mix (Sunshine advance #4) I’m having a tough time getting the watering down. I added perlite, and the drainage is great, but it holds more water for longer than I expected, even with added perlite.

The oldest seedlings (11 days) have been watered 3 times and seem a little droopy (on the overwatered side) They will be getting a very mild nutrient solution the next time I water, but I’m not sure when that will be.

image.jpg I know with this mix l, I shouldn’t let it dry completely, but the mix is so light, in the small containers, it’s really tough to tell.

A couple of my babies are overwatered so I went ahead and got them under the stronger COBs. Temps are around 75 and humidity @ 60%. Hopefully they dryout and get some oxygen!EC66D0D3-59DA-491C-9BCC-8A28778F9E47.jpeg
