Quikz. 5 weeks from flip. Dropping a little pollen on the lower branches somewhere. I can't find from where but found a couple of spent pollen sacks dropped onto the rockwool cubes. Pretty managable so far though.

Why support a breeder who won't support you when you grow their gear out? Plenty of good breeders out there who will gladly answer questions about their seeds.Out of 5 Sugar Show - tossed one to herm - now a second is showing male parts halfway up the plant - day 16f - not giving up on this one just yet. Both plants that hermed were on the same side of the tent. I have 3 tents in a dedicated room. Now - the veg tent is next to the side of the tent that just hermed. The only thing I could possibly think of is that the lower rectangle vent from the veg tent had a tiny light leak that bled into the Sugar Show tent? I mean shit, that would be such a small amount - but I don't know at this point. I get herms every time I pheno hunt with EG. But never from any of the keeper moms/clones I keep from EG.
I have a pretty high PAR right now this early (like 800) - but I started high end of veg and didn't just jump into it.
The plants are praying pretty hard at the end of the day - like they took in too much light, but that's usually what I see at this point after the defoliation day on 14.
The first Sugar show hermed before defoliation - for what it's worth.
I wish we could talk about this on Discord, because it would be nice to know it's not user error (or that if it is, what could it be) - but instead its usually just the copy/paste from mods about light leaks, too much/too little light, etc etc, and if you mention it in public channels you get warned/banned so it's hard to troubleshoot from non mods.
They will help you - just in DM. I assume it's because they don't want the main channels flooded with questions about herm etc. Like only posting the positive reviews about something - which is his prerogative, it's his server, but it's not helpful to the casual grower. Why support a breeder who won't support you when you grow their gear out? When your plants are out of the room, get in the tent and zip it up, give yourself a few minutes to adjust your eyes, and if you see light poking through from the veg tent you've got your answer.Out of 5 Sugar Show - tossed one to herm - now a second is showing male parts halfway up the plant - day 16f - not giving up on this one just yet. Need 10+ minutes for eyes to adjust well enough to really solve the problem. When your plants are out of the room, get in the tent and zip it up, give yourself a few minutes to adjust your eyes, and if you see light poking through from the veg tent you've got your answer.
Yea I did that and didn't see any light (well this was after I sealed it with tape) - I've done it before and didn't notice any leaks then, but with these velcro window things they unseal at times if you open/close them and it's possible some light was leaking in before I sealed it. But maybe not, but something I'm doing seems to be stressing some phenos and I'm trying anything at this point. I even bought some matte black spray paint to paint the inside of my intake ducting. When your plants are out of the room, get in the tent and zip it up, give yourself a few minutes to adjust your eyes, and if you see light poking through from the veg tent you've got your answer.
can also try hanging black out curtains or black sheets on the sides, i found it helped eliminated the leaks from the zipper/view windowYea I did that and didn't see any light (well this was after I sealed it with tape) - I've done it before and didn't notice any leaks then, but with these velcro window things they unseal at times if you open/close them and it's possible some light was leaking in before I sealed it. Thanks for saying this. I would imagine heat, humidity, and genetics play a bigger part than pinhole and zipper light leaks.Light leaks from zippers aren't going to herm flowering plants. It's not 100% dark at night outside lol. Everything I ever grew from exotic hermed..
and that's where you're wrong. It's not just "light". It's light spectrum triggering all kinds of genetic anomalies. There is NOTHING natural about an indoor environment. Not the daylight cycle, not the light spectrum, not the light leaks, not anything. It's all artificial.Light leaks from zippers aren't going to herm flowering plants.
