exhaust system setup

I just purchased off amazon an apollo 600 watt air cooled hud, 400 cfm 6 inch fan and carbon filter. I will install these in my 5 x 5 x 8 closet. Just wondering the best way is to set up system. I am going to put panda film on closet door and cut holes in the bottom for passive intake and velcro an opening to get in and out of the closet. Should I mount the carbon filter on one flange of the hood with the fan sucking air mounted on the other flange of the hood then through ducting and out the ceiling into my attic? So it would be filter>hood>fan>>>ducting into ceiling. I guess other way would be to have filter attached to fan pushing air thorough the hud into ducting into the attic. filter>fan>hood>>>>ducting into attic. Any other possible setups that Im not thinking about?? Can ducting be attached to both sides of the carbon filter like this Hood>ducting>filter>fan>ducting?

filter>hood>fan>>>ducting into ceiling. if your light hood is completly seal then yes if not smell its gonna be a problem. I will do the second choice
good luck and happy growing

I like to do filter->fan->ducting->hood->exhaust, as it allows me to hang both my filter and fan as a single unit at the top of my tent.

Speck, so you push the air through the lights and out of the room? Is that more efficient than pulling it through the lights or does it matter?

It is always better to go filter > fan > hood > exhaust, if your fan is after the hood drawing the hot air through it, it will be running hotter and is more likely fail over a period of time, it is always better to push the air through the hood, as for efficiency it should be the same the only restriction will come from the carbon filter not the configuration.
