Excepting donations for other breeders gear? Opinions please!

So let me explain my question...I only grow from seed so what I do is buy seed pack from attitude mother hunt then self her to create s1 seeds of desired phenotype. This has worked well for me over the years with about %75 of the seeds grown out are a close representation of the selfed mother. I'm not a breeder or botanist do I don't know the what's or whys. I only know what my experience has shown me.

So my question is would it be unethical immoral or bad edicet to except cash donations for my s1 of other breeders gear. I have s1's from a wonderful orange skunk pheno jilly bean. My friends in the industry are begging for me to donAte these seads in exchange for cash donations.

I know it is common for people to except donations for clones of a specific cut. I'm just not sure if donating seeds is seen the same way. I'd appreciate any and All opinions on the subject. Especially from any breeders who maybe here on roll it up. Subcool are you listening I'd love to hear your opinion.

do what you do and please just be fair and honest.....if you do this and they want to "donate" to you in appreciation of your efforts all is fair...as long as you are open honest and fair

IOW tell them it is _________'s strain which you selfed and give the breeder credit for the genes...face it ...thats all alot of these so called breeders are doing lately but they aren't being honest about it

DONT let Subcool hear that you selfed his genetics and created fem seeds! That man will lose it! I was emailing with him a few months ago, kind of an angry man when you get into it with him about fem seeds. He is VERY passionate about the subject.

Yep, I've done the math; $1,000 from the weed of a good plant, and $10,000 for the seeds of her identical clone bred for seeds.

fuck subfool...wouldn't wanna self his pollen chunking crap...and besides he is an idiot as fems are just as good in everyway and superior in that you can still breed but not waste resources on males...subfool is a joke...sorry but that is truth

Just like people said, just be honest. I'm just repeating the same messages but in my own words; It's ok to self a plant to keep the seeds. It's ok to share them in a small circle just like it's ok to give or trade cuttings with your friends. You didn't breed the genetics but you did actually go through the effort of making the seed so that deserves at least something.

Crossing the line would be to be untruthful or money hungry about it.
*Don't call it your own strain- always tell people exactly what it is and how it came about so they know what they are getting in to and there is no confusion about who the original breeder is
*Don't go out of your way to sell it like on a website or what ever. To try to make a lot of profit out of it would not be fair on the original breeder. Sell to friends or your own grape vine but don't go marketing it or putting it out to the broader world because the effort to breed the seed doesn't justify making a big profit from someone else's genetics. If you want to sell to more than your close circle then the honest thing to do would be to make your own strain or be authorized by the breeder to sell theirs.

But you know what? I reckon a lot of 'breeders' out there on website are just taking other people's strains, selfing them and then flogging off the seeds under a new name as their own miracle creation

I wouldn't take a thousand dollars for one of my plants

I just wonder what some breeders would think I was pimpin s1's of there gear in my local market. Or even in a farmers market setting. I wonder because the donation for seeds is insane on a per plant comparison to her flowers. And I always have extra s1's of the strains I have flowers from.

To simply F2 someones gear, stick your tag on it and sell it is a dick move my friend......now to give them to server for free and then they use them for the server fund....would be acceptable but to just copy someones shit and then sell it as yours or even as theirs just cheaper....I say NO that is not cool.
Now if you actually did a cross and then bred it back to itself or some sort of legitament breeding so as to make it yours far enough away from theirs I would say is ok.......cool? I was not saying your a dick....I am just replying to the question posed.
