I'm not old so graffiti for me is tko, cbs msk, awr.. I like guys like atlas colt 45 ,t locs... And many more I pretty much just named the los Angeles scene.

I was never that into saber..although I was very impressed when he was hitting the billboard on the war movie with the helicopter flying nearby.

I think there's a huge difference between graffiti and street art. Banksy's work provokes thought and for me that's what art is about. Robbo's work was about the original street tagging.

I knew a few taggers from Harlesden and i took the Met line to school everyday so I've seen plenty of tags as I've grown up and I don't like it.

Sadly Robbo died a very poor man but was on the turning point of fame when he died.
Banksy on the other hand is extremely rich and rewarded, not just by comparison. This caused a professional jealousy between them which resulted in their war.

Absolutely untrue about what started their beef. And I think most writers are pretty happy some middle aged lady doesn't "like their tags". :)

Bingo! All Robbo wanted was to fight for the diss but banksy pussed out for 20+ years. Street artists are usually rich art school pussies. They want all the sparkly stuff about graffiti but can't handle it when shit gets real. Go over my shit and I'll stab you. Simple.

Then after Robbo died banksy redoes his original piece. Bitch move IMO.

For what it's worth you're right sunshine. Robbos shit was pretty wavk when we compare it to today's stuff. But that was late 80s/early 90s. Shit has obviously progressed aesthetically.

But Robbos shit was old and had run for years and years. There's definitely a code of respect for shit that's ran forever. Even if it's "toy" by new standards. You can do it, but be ready to fight about it.

Sorry, this shit took too much of my time (and eventually money and freedom.) :(

Honesty both of those dudes have no style..If any of the two r.i.p robbo were to battle someone like let's keep it old school and go with cope2 with nothing but a spray can. Any of those fools would loose.. The funk don't ooze threw their hands..

Banksy fk'd up with his big ol hollywood party, years back, got tons of commercial exposure and painted a live elephant paisley.
