Trump might not be disqualified from the primaries, the party nominee is not a public office, they will do him in the general election and leave the GOP high and dry on the eve of the election if they nominate him!
He should be in a federal prison by the time the republican convention rolls around and going down in court during their primaries.

Let's see, if the SCOTUS doesn't disqualify Trump from the GOP primaries, using the argument that a party nominee is not a public office, and the 14th does not apply. Next chance will be during the general election, if he wins the nomination and perhaps people can only sue when he actually files the papers to run in a state. That could leave the republicans high and dry on the eve of the general election with the SCOTUS and states disqualifying him then, the presidency is a public office. He will be going down in a DC court in the middle of the GOP primaries next year and might even be broke because of the case in NY. He might even be tried in Georgia on TV before the election.
In any case the SCOTUS will rule, and Donald will either run in all the states primaries or none at all, same for the general election.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) went after Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) on Thursday, mocking the House Oversight Committee chair for sending out subpoenas in his probe investigating President Biden’s family finances.
The Oversight panel posted a video Wednesday of Comer signing subpoenas for the president’s son Hunter Biden, brother James Biden and their business partner Rob Walker as part of Republicans’ impeachment probe into the president.
Recent developments in the probe have focused on a $200,000 loan the president made to his brother in 2018, according to revealed bank records. Comer alleges the loan repayment is proof of the president profiting from illicit international business.
Moskowitz’s post recreated the video shot-for-shot with the congressman signing a prop “subpoena” for Comer instead, calling him a hypocrite over the investigation. Moskowitz said Comer himself had done the same, also giving his brother a $200,000 personal loan, according to reports from The Daily Beast on Thursday.
“It has been reported that Comer also loaned his brother $200k. We fully expect James to comply, just like the Trumps,” Moskowitz said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The committee has also sought testimony from Hunter and James Biden’s wives, as well as the widow of Beau Biden, the president’s other son, and her sister.
Democrats have argued the revealed bank records show nothing more than a short-term loan between family members made while Biden was a private citizen.
While the GOP has held up the findings as evidence of corruption, it has yet to find a smoking gun that implicates the president in directly benefiting from his family’s international business dealings or making policy decisions as vice president because of them.
Moskowitz, also a member of the Oversight Committee, has continuously criticized Comer’s impeachment inquiry efforts. During the inquiry’s first hearing in September, he called the hearing “awkward” and a “disaster.”

I dunno how the republican nomination will go, if Donald can run in the primaries, but will be convicted before the convention and face disqualification in the General election. Will Chris suspend his campaign refuse to concede to Trump and wait for the convention, or step in for the party if Trump is disqualified in the general election. The Trump clones are looking for Trump's VP slot so that if he is disqualified, they can step in. It might be an interesting GOP convention next summer and a chaotic one.
Perhaps they should follow their own policy and allow open carry at the convention, on the theory that everybody is safer when everybody is armed.
It would be interesting to see them put their deeply held beliefs to the test, on themselves, good luck with that. Donald will be safe in prison so there should be no secret service concerns. I mean if they have 1st amendment rights at their convention, they should have second amendment rights too. It looks like they might have 14th amendment rights to contend with though, specifically section 3.
