Hi Team , basically as above . Flipped my mother AK47 about 28 days ago , no sign at all of flower . Has a little yellowing on the top canopy (dwc) , nothing too scary , ive had worse , I changed out the water and will flush for a couple of days . So can running nutes to high or PH out of range stop or inhibit flowering , or slow its start down drastically ? Ive been running my dwc at about 1200-1500ppm and ph 5.8-6.2. Water temp and air temp same old for years , this is a new one one me . Despite the yellowing on top , the plant is healthy green and bushy as . Any advice and past experiences with this dilema would be much appreciated .

First question is why are you running nutrients that high?

You always have fed that high or it's crept up over the years? It's either or. Yes that's a huge part of your issues.
well that was helpfull , thanks .
Bad pin on the light timer maybe? Interrupting the dark period?
Nah , nothing that simple unfortunately . Have a very reliable digital timer plus i've physically checked . Have read its a real thing , plants sometimes not flipping , and being fixed by either going to 14/10 (not sure if that's permanently once instigated) or simply flicking the lights off for 24-48 hrs. This is a 1st for me so im also wonderin g if anyone else has had this happen and If it was fixed. cheers

It's the long nights that I was told triggers flower in photoperiods, so give it a shot. Report back in 2 days.
Same thread, so new viewers can catch up & know what's goin on. Never know who may have the same issues later down the line.

Will do Hydro , yeah its good to get some feed back going for some of these more obscure problems . This forum is great for most stuff but now and then we all get stumped by nature !!! I will turn her off tonight and go to a 10/14 in 48hrs . I would like to know though , If anyone has done this and then tried going back to 12/12 . Im thinking it would freak a potentially confused plant out may be a bad idea ??? Thoughts ???

You just might confuse it. With decent genetics I don’t see it going herm on you, but I would like to know the result of shortening the dark period after already triggering flower. I also wonder what the flip side of a veg lighting schedule would make this plant do example being 6 on / 18 off. I have a few experiments in mind I am eventually going to try regardless of what there is to read on it.. or what’s not to read. Going full cycle with bloom nutes only is next. All for the love of trying new things.

That is odd. The only time I've flipped a mother it quickly caught up to plants that were already a couple of weeks into flower.

Yeah, I just don't get it. Flipped a early version 11 Roses at the same time, bwt 36 days ago and its cranking, smokable if you were down to crumbs.
I've got the ak47 in dark today and tomorrow, and will start the 10/14 there after, will let ya know what comes of it. Its well veged, so will be interesting.

Hey guys, tried 2 days dark then down to 10/14, gave it over 3 weeks to show signs of flower. Nah, it just got dense and looked healthy but absolutely no sign of flower, male or female. She dead.

You killed it? It was a mother plant right? So it was a female. Did you make sure your timers were working and lights were going off as they should? i have mothers over a year old and will show preflowering signs in a few days. Something seems off.

Na , all pretty normal . May have been a bit generous with the nutes but within what I normally do . Guess I will never know , very strange tho . Like i said , it was healthy and bushy as , just couldnt get her to flower. Swapped out timers etc , it wasnt gear failure. Never mind , she got flipped so she could make way for some "mimosa shot" and "hypnotic" , both sound worth a crack !!!

Hi, off topic but what brand and model is your reliable digital timer? Or anyone else who knows reliable digital timers. I need one but I keep reading reviews of them that arent good, any experience with some good ones would be great.

Thank you!
