I was tending the plants today and noticed a "drop of water" on one leaf. Coincidentally I did water this morning. But I've seen these droplets in the past.
Since I knew it couldn't be water splash I inspected the leaf thoroughly with a 25x loupe. I found a spider mite on the underside of the leaf. My suspicions were correct. Unfortunately I can't pic the mite.
If you growers ever see water droplets on leaves where you know there shouldn't be water droplets, inspect for bugs with high magnification because it;s not water. It's sap! Bugs are picnicking.
Luckily for me I spotted it before putting these into 12/12. 5-6 weeks from switch I'd be noticing webbing. I'll nuke tonight.
