Your method works for me on strains I've grown before, but on a new strain I still like to eyeball the trichomes. I usually adjust my harvest date guess a few days either way after I get a good look at them, so maybe you are just more in tune with the plants.
if only everyone was as smart as you...
BTW i have one of those.. they do get the job done.

I looked into those after you posted something about it on your latest journal. At least I think that was where I saw it. Looked pretty cool. I have been looking to get something like it to be able to veiw on my screen and also take a picture. A measuring microscope with a camera is what I was looking at. i use my loupe to check the sex of preflowers. that's about all i use it for.

exactly what i was saying,i suppose it must be down to experiance, it just seems naturally obviouse to me when a fruit is ripe or not.Picasso, its not that ime more intune with the plants,a fruit is either ripe or not,it really isnt that hard to tell. ime not dissing any 1 or putting any1 down,ime just a simple small time grower that uses the simmplest methods .... xxxxxxxxxxxx
