Ever try this?

That's a quote taken from an ad for White Widow seeds, and it struck me as kinda odd to let your plants sit in the dark for 2 whole weeks. Is that what they are suggesting? Sure sounds like it to me. Anyway, I wanted to know if anybody has ever tried anything like that, and what were the results? Ever hear of anybody trying it?

I let mine set in 24 hour dark but that's it then its cut time. Also I stay at 12/12 up to the 24 hr dark cycle.

i read these occasionally, like letting plants sit in 36hr darkness b4 switching to 12/12 etc.. but i think any benefits are very minimal, ive never read of anyone getting remarkable results..
and 2 weeks darkness, wtf...

^Hey man, sup? Yeah, I thought that sounded a little excessive, too. WTH? Maybe they throw that in there because they know most people won't do it, and then when their plants don't turn out like the ones in their ads, they'll tell you that's the reason. Bastards.LOL

I have been thinking about trying some 10,000+K lights at the end of bloom. I've heard that it can really bring the trichs out, but haven't tried it yet. Hmm....

well that would be easier to find out,.. wot are u workin with lights wise?

Where exactly is this ad that states this? I'd like to see this in person. My first thought is that it's a typo and they meant to say two days and not two weeks.

LOL, Well, I'm a little excessive, but I'm running 1,800 watts of HPS(one 600 and three 400s) in a 5' x 5' area. Why not add some more, eh?

It sure doesn't look like a typo, that's why i thought it was so strange. Hmm.....

i'd have to agree with the typo theory here, 2 days yeah, i do that myself...but two weeks , u'd have to make sure the room was kept warm for a start without any heat build up from the lights taking place and.....nah this dont happen in nature, its gotta be a mistake.
