My wifes mom had eaten some space crispies I made at thanksgiving. She also thought she was having a stroke and went to the E.R. what a night lol.

Awesome. I'm just about to start flowering Hawaiian skunk haze it grows like bamboo. So far I'm excited. 16 weeks is a minute though. How much room would an average one stretch after flip??

It is a slow grower. It does not like topping. It is slow to recover. It will double if not triple in size when flowering.
I would lst it. Just tie her down. Its not a big yeilder.
It is a good smoke. Smells of bannanas and skunk. It is almost to sweet smelling. It will swell them eyes shut and gives that pressure on the eye or head band feeling.
If cut on the early side it will produce a racing high. If cut on the late side its more mellow.

Nothing kills the commercial interest in a strain faster than hearing it won't grow in the allotted eight weeks.
That's a real shame, because that crazy racy sativa high doesn't come out in just eight weeks, not in any hybrid I've ever tried.
But if the pot buyer won't pay double for a plant that needs twice the time in the bloom room, what's a grower to do?
In other words, it's like anything else; you get what you're willing to pay for.

Right. I don't sell. No medical state. Just personal use. Those long flowering are out doors for me.
I personally think longer flowering plants give a more complex high.
Like if you let a sativa go to the point of couch lock it is more complex than an indica.

Well, sure- and it stands to reason the mix of cannabinoids would differ for longer running strains- specifically due to the time involved.
I regularly interact with some of the best breeders in the state and this is a real concern for all of us; none of us want to see whole tracts of genetics go by the wayside just because they don't fit a commercial schedule. Indeed, most of the bigger breeders here are employed by commercial facilities and have the obvious goals as their main assignments.
No one wants to see the loss of anything- and it's always in the back of my own mind as I design equipment and facilities.
It remains a tough sell to owners of commercial facilities to invest twice the growroom time to get the same amount of product- that still doesn't command a premium price.

Back as a youngen I had an old timer teach me the ways of growing outdoors. Back even in the 90's helicopters were not bad. Now they have ruined guys growing 20 ft Sativa's

Thanks fur the info. I have never grown such a long flowering strain. I am excited. Have plenty of kush an others to keep harvest going to let go full term.

I have a friend who is not a regular smoker who called me a few weeks ago wanting to get high because he got into a fight with his wife. I showed up at his house and packed up a bowl of tahoe. On the second hit, he hands me the bowl back and says " I think I smoked too much." He then started to pace around his house like a crackhead and I was worried he was going to have a panic attack. He went into a long rant about how he was going to clean up his life, stop drinking, get a new job, etc. It was kind of bumming me out, so I left and went out and bought myself a gyro.

.....Couple years ago ( when I still smoked) I bust out the good shit at a poker game. I gave fair warning it was good shit. I repeated the warning as some where hittin the hell out of it.

A long time ago in the 1970s my bi-polar manic depressive step-mom ate some pot brownies my sister had baked just as they were cooling. Of course my sister could not tell her or my dad would be pissed. She did not even notice a difference. Must have been the prescription drugs she was already on. With todays potency, she would probably have been running down the street naked...not that there's anything wrong with that...lol

Holy crap man, that is some scary strong $hit I get paranoid just reading it, lol.
Plus the other stories about people thinking they are going to die..WTF? To me, that's not fun, I'll stick with the mellow, kick back and relaxed type buzz. 
What ever happened to enjoying a joint that has a mellow relaxing buzz that overcomes you slowly? I like to chew my food and taste it as it goes down, that's part of the experience...Similar threads
