I do a 5.9 ph water ”flush“ every 2 weeks to cut any salt issues ( as i used powdered notes ) .
Then run a clean feed til runoff .

Any genetics can be prone to hermaphroditing most "feminized" seeds are seeds collected from plants that were forced into hermaphroditing. I read somewhere there's a 50% chance you will get herms from herm seeds?

I've had hermies from Greenhouse Seeds and Barney's Farm too though so name your breeder it's just in the deck of cards just hope you don't pull that card or in this case seed..

There's genetic testing available now you can use to tell if a plant is prone to herm and or male/female before you even bloom or veg it for long. Pretty cool, google that.

The last 2 breeder you listed I wouldn't run a I've never seen how they breed the plants. Most issues stem from breeders not taking the time to stabilize the strain. An yes feminized seeds come from forcing the plant to herm however if bred properly they have a very small chance of those happening. Good breeders make good seeds. Ethos I've broken slapped around didn't water to test how stress will affect the plant not one out of all.the plants I do has hermed EVEN under these stressful conditions. My advice is get good seeds and stop blaming a good breeder for your incompetence. Show me the well controlled room. I bet you idea of controlled and mine are very different.

Im starting to run into a common occurrence of hermies with all different breeders, haven't flowered Ethos yet but just started so I'll find out. Here's one thing I've noticed to be a common factor in all my hermies. All the ones that herm on me, were plants I fed way too much. So I'm starting to wonder, obviously the genetics play a role too, but the over fertilization seems to really piss them off lol

Do you not check your ppm/ec before watering. That’s helps a lot with over feeding

Again for most good genetics herms will always fall to user error from what I've noticed. Please note I run alot of seeds and alot of different genetics. Only herms have came from piss poor breeders your common pollen jockies throwing shit around on several different strains and seeing what happens kind of deal.

I was overfeeding with Dr Earth dry amendments...not having that issue with liquid. But with FFOF now I'm seeing so much better growth by laying off the nutes longer.

ETHOS is absolute fire by the way.. The plants hermed at different times with different Phenos, one Mandarin Sunset out of 5 hermed early off with little nanners and the other one made it all the way until around day 50 just as trichomes milked up. I'm still running ETHOS and not directly blaming their brand just stating my experience. I've had Barneys Farm Tangerine Dream Feminized herm on 2 plants..

I use dr earth dry amendments and EWC so I avoid over feed. You must of used quite a bit.
But Yeah you wanna be careful with dry. You can alway add. Can’t take away as easy.

"sealed" grow with no intake vents or exhaust vents out of the room.
Eye Hortilux DE 1000w HPS spaced 5'x5' on center of bulbs per manufacturer specs..

Co2: 1200 PPM until 2 weeks before flush, then I drop the co2 down with temps and humidity to around 800 PPM..
Temperatures: 78 °F lights on : 70 °F lights off..
Humidity: 45% Lights on : 40% Lights off.
Nutrients: Standard strength CYCO per feed chart (Silica, Grow, Bloom, Potash & Swell) + Botanicare CalMag+ @ 3 ml/gal, no added hormones or things like Kelp..

8 x 1000w DE Eye Hortilux HPS
2 x Quest Dual 155 Units
16 x Oscillating fans both high and low on the walls..
20 Gallon pots of Sunshine Advanced #4
Hydro-Logic RO-300 water treatment system
PerfectAire 3 ton Mini-Split
Titan Controls 4-burner LP Co2 generator paired with a trusty Titan Co2 Controller

Plant Therapy by Lost Coast @ recommended dilution every 7-10 days with a Hudson Fogger until buds show for pest/disease prevention.
The Basement was completely emptied out, Ozonated and bleached prior to plants being moved in.

I have had a Hermie once about 15 years ago and that was from a clone taken from a regular female. I still have no idea why that one randomly did that, but I accept it was my fuck up. Especially as it was a clone I hand ran several times before.

Plants have some issues I mean it's not a bad setup but definitely have issues. Overall not a bad little setup just work on fixing your issues. Feed simple

What issues would you say exist?

I try to feed simple. I run 1.6-1.8 EC in veg 2.0-2.2 EC in flower depending on how plants respond I'll adjust & confirm rootzone EC using a Bluelab Pulse Meter.

Sure the walls and floors could be painted white and the ceiling could be finished but none of that seems worth the investment personally. I'm happy with the results I'm getting as-is. Change 1 thing and you gotta change 3 other things.
