Eso's grow (sour kosher, 5th element,blue dream)

rambo.jpg The girls are at 49 days flower and look the blue dream and sour kosher look like they'll be done in 9 weeks total or 63 days, might be a little longer. The 5th is gonna go at least 10 weeks easy, she's packing on weight but still no real smell and not all that impressive budding either plus she's a longer flower.

The sour kosher is still smelling like sweet grapeish candy and she is budding out descent, I'd say a moderate to average flower weight but if taste is like smell she won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
 
I'm going to veg the BD and SK clones a little longer than I did the seeds so just two will fill the whole damn tent. I decided to switch back to the flora nova fertilizer I have on hand because I don't like how acidic the PBP is leaving my tupur mix. I need to keep playing with the mix but since I have limited room and space so I'm going back. I got better results on resin production with the general hydro but taste was lacking but I think with some floralicious type product to simulate organic flavor. Plus the GH doesn't seem to swing as acidic as the PBP. Not giving up on the PBP but shelving it for now.

Also I'm looking to find a house soon and once I do I'll be popping my hazeman's grape 13 and bodhi's goji og and a handful of my critical sensi star x buddha's dream cross.

Thanks Mo!. She does smell great but I was hoping for more blueberry, she is more haze but I'm cool with that as she is a fat little girl. I'm going to be running the blue dream and sour kosher again and I'm going to let them get twice this size so we can she what these girls can really do.

Well on last sunday I found some male flowers on the sour kosher and mold on one of the smaller top buds of the blue dream.

I figured one of the three girls would herm because I started the flowering cycle at 8pm-8am but that was too late so I slowly moved the timer back to 4:30pm-4:30am by shutting light off 30 minutes early for several days. Plus I fucked the soilless's ph off.

The mold I was pissed about because the blue dream had the big dense top buds much like my old cut of grape god and the grape god developed mold easily even at 45-55% humidity, so I should have known better. I had a couple little fans on but I should have had a fan on each plant. I noticed a little mold on one of the smaller top buds so I cut all the top buds just in case and luckily there was no more mold but suck I could tell before I chopped them off. I could have put a fan on her and let her finish but rather be safe and harvest a week early. The top buds I did cut are drying so I'll be able to get a sneak peak of the blue dream in a few weeks, or maybe a prebowl in a week. bongsmilie

All in all not the best I've done by a long shot but this is just for head smoke anyway so no biggie. The clone run will go much smoother, as is tradition. lol I'll get picture later.

The 5th element still has what looks to be two to three weeks left of flower and saturday will be 8 week, mark so 54day now. The 5th will probably be the largest yielder but with a 75-80+ day flowerer.
 
Oh man, spewing about the mold hey, even worse that it was the blue dream too! If it had've been the 5th it wouldn't have been so bad! Sorry to hear about the sour kosher too man, she looked dank!!

Unfortunately the sour kosher had to be removed because she was forming far too many male flowers to just pick off and since the 5th is so far behind I didn't want to chance pollinating her.

I'll still run the clone of SK just to make sure because sometimes stressed seed runs herm but the clone run doesn't, here's hoping anyway.

Yeah that's a bugger mate, can't have a bush with heaps of nanners ruining your crop, good call mate!!

The tops I had to cut off the blue dream are in a jar but I had to cut them too early and they dried rather fast so the sneak peak tokes I have taken have been harsh but I can taste the potential. The bottom that I left on the plant to finish up is looking close to finished so I'll take that this weekend and report back.

The 5th of course will be a couple weeks out.

Here is a shot of the 5th element. She's most likely going to be the heaviest yield but also the longest flower too. All in all not bad but not keeper material. Maybe she'll have nice flavor and buzz and I'll regret not keeping a clone but for now, fuck it.og.jpg images.jpg
 
Well this grow is finished for the most part. I'll let the 5th finish up and put her in a jar. The sour kosher is in a jar going through the cure.he blue dream is hanging and some prematurely cut dream (55 days) is in a jar but lacks the scent of the finished buds at 63 days.

To some up strains for a quick review,

Sour kosher: 9/10 Overall my favorite of the three by a long shot based on bud formation, calyx ratio and scent.

Started strong, seed popped in 24 hours and vegged easy no real issues with nutrients. Had little noticeable scent while vegging with nice strong stems that handle topping and being tied down.

In flower she started fast and was first plant with noticeable resin. Had nice tight node spacing, great calyx to leaf ratio, an awesome grape/berry scent, moderate stretch in flower and she got a little purple with low 60f nights.

Her only down side has been late flower bananas but I stressed these three girls pretty hard with the light cycle early in flower and then again with ph shift in mid flower. I had to chop early because of bananas but I took her at about 60 days and she only need a few more days.

So hopefully her clone doesn't herm or else she'll be removed.

Blue dream: 6.5/10 maybe 7/10 Not bad but she did develop mold super easily that's why the low rating

I started one BD seed and it no pop so these is the 2nd blue dream seed I started and this one took 48 hour to pop and was slow for first couple weeks. She vegged easily with low smell during veg.

In flower she did not stretch very much at all, probably the least of all three, she flowers out hefty, has a great hazey with a hint of berry and finished at 63 days.
Downside is she got mold on one of the top bud due to not enough fan actions and she has average calyx to leaf. Much more of a pain in the ass to manicure plants.

5th element: 6.5/10

Started strong, vegged strong but had a real strong skunk odor in veg, you'd need a carbon filter to veg even small plants. Based on how well she vegged I had high hopes but in flower she lost luster.

In flower she did great just too slow of a flower for me, looking at 70-90 day flower, she had descent stretch but then again I didn't tie her back like the SK and BD. Right now at 66 days she has nice top colas, she might hit the quarter pound mark by the time she's done.
Downside is she has no noticeable scent and is a long flower.

I got two blueberry seeds going now. One seedsman blueberry and one hso sour blueberry and hopefully things will go smoother. Cheers Mo and thanks for following along.
 
Transplanted the sour kosher and blue dream clones into larger number 5 pots, double the size I had the seeds in. I also bought some new Tupur soil mix which I think me using the old bag I had without reconditioning it was one of the causes of the issues I had with the seeds.

The other half of my underlying issues I believe is the water quality of my current apartment. Back in my house last year I lived in the hills and the water out of the tap was nice and it was always at ph neutral 7.0, low parts per million too. So I had zero issues with the tupur.

My current place's tap water is typical city water that has higher ppms and ph 8.5, so not as nice of water quality. I have no place to run my reverse osmosis filter so I might need to buy water from local store. Now that I'm aware of what is cause of issues I can try to circumvent them.

Also I think I was letting the girls get too dry in between watering. So high temps in flower tent 80-85f (26-30c), shitty tap, dried out tupur mix not fully reconditioned, then letting the pots dry out too much between feedings coupled with not letting the girls veg longer and flowering in smaller containers all spell less than spectacular results. I haven't weigh anything yet because the SK and SD are still drying and 5th still growing, but I'll probably get around half pound of grade A- bud. Still great looking buds but a little loose and foxtail action.

Any way with the clones I'm going to veg longer and really spread them out better, may end up scrogging. I'd like to maximize these clones so I can get closer to 1gpw than this round's .5gpw.
