I was putting a tent and necessities up today after taking it down from the same spot about 2 weeks ago (trying to be as quiet as possible due to neighbours and very thin walls! There's nothing quiet about putting a tent up in a very small room though so they probs caught on by now) Piss-take. Still yet to do the hardest part moving a plant but it got me thinking

Does anyone else get frustrated putting tents up? Easiest way? i.e frame first then throw the tent over it? Start with the base and build upwards round the tent? I find it really difficult to get that 1 last pole in the frame without really stretching the tent

Dangling wires and chords really get to me things getting caught on ratchets etc, tangled wires and just no room to work or turn the tent due to wardrobe and bed taking up most the room

Already had 2 bong breaks and only been at it about 2 hours

I build the frame first. Fully unzip the tent then find one top corner and drag it over the top.

don’t worry about getting the top right just drape it over then I get the bottom set in place first, then work corner to corner pulling the tent tight. Final part is to zip it back up.

Best to do work during the day as there’s more ambient noise

Turn on a boom box. Some tents are easier to put together than others. I hate those ratchet things theyre shaped tricky they hook and hook to themselves trying to set it up. I had a tent that was so tight on the fabric I bent the frame putting the fabric on.

Some tents just suck. I have a plastic corner pieces tent thats holding up but those are known to warp and break but putting it together sucks. The corner pieces if they dont lock they just keep falling apart. Title of thread threw me off I wasnt sure what I was about to read. Theres one called weed gives me a boner or something lol.

Open out the fabric, find the bottom.
Assemble the bottom 4 corners and poles , making sure if there's a bottom to the corner it goes to the bottom.

You drop that square/oblong into the fabric.

Put your As n Bs or whatever they're labeled as , together to make the uprights , pop them into the bottom corners.
Then repeat step one with top corners and poles to make top square.
Drop that slightly onto your 4 uprights.

Then whack everything so it's fully seated.
Drag the rest of your fabric up and over the top and zip it up.

I've got 2 4x4x6 tents I've put up quite a few times over the last few years, never following a method just winging it all the time it's gonna have to come down again in a few weeks as I'm moving (hopefully to a bigger gaff!) so I'll follow try ways suggested, cheers. Should of looked on YouTube really but I always convince myself I am able to do it without

I was only working in a 5x5 space putting it up tho so room was a big issue pulling the thick canvas tent through the gap between the wall and the frame. Losing which way was up and which corner went where. It doesn't stop there either getting the 5" extractor and the light hung while clipping the ratchets on jeez should of just left it in the other tent ffs
