Thats what Im saying Darth...lol You go girl!! I am going to start up some wbs trays here in a few days, but NOTHING like you have going researchkitty! I will prob harvest atleast 4 onions a month, maybe more. I am currently not working, so I have alot of plans! BTW researchkitty..PE is a strain you will have to invest in down the road. Like the article says I posted...they arent like any other cube! Expect a 12 hr ride on PE...with the walls breathing!!!!! As for taking prints, most ppl use swabs for PE or take tissue culture(which is easy) I took tissue cultures and started up some LC....and it took off!!! I am going to invest in some more petri dishes with agar, and sector out a few strains when I get some more.

could you go a little more into detail on how you used tissue for LC you just throw it in there? my cake transfer (like grain transfer) didn't take on any jars this time(all three contamed obviousy I was not sterile enough) so going to try LC with my golden teachers syringe, but now probablly do some tissue to lc also. thanks ahead of time

my bad darth...been busy the last few days. When you take tissue culture you just take a freshly picked mushroom and using a sterile exacto knife or razor blade and cut the cap and the base off. You dont want anything on the tissue at all(verm, exc.)now that you just have the stem....split it in half.....and take your blade and cut a piece of the inner tissue and just drop it in your LC, Grain jar, or agar and it will be identical to the mushroom it came from. Might as well say taking a clone. Just make sure you cut and use the tissue immediately after picking the mushroom. As soon as you pick them, the tissue starts to break down and pretty much dies.
I have pins popping up all over the cake from the 2nd flush, I will post a pic or 2 tomorrow when the light is on. I had to jerk up all of my plants because the eye in the sky was hovering all through my area, so I have been BUSY as hell and stressing my ass off. Im glad I did jerk em when I did becaust minutes later they were hovering over where they were. Not to mention I just dug a 50gal hole and hadnt filled it in yet, and it stuck out like a sore thumb. Bad timing!! But everything is cool, and I have some tasty nugs should last till spring... I hope!

Yea i'll get a journal up soon. Right now the jars are all 100% no contams yet and all half colonized-ish. Figure the log would start when there's something to show instead of a photo now then another update two weeks later <G>

btw -- I made it 4 flushes before the cakes started to have to get thrown away form molding in the fruiting chambers. This upcoming run I'm going to clean/bleach the fruiting chambers between flushes and re-moisten the perlite too. I think that should fix the inside fungi.................. Am I wrong? :)

Aah good -- so h2o2 which I already have 35% strength of. :) Just like 5mL/gallon of spray water for misting too or only use the h2o2 with the perlite soaking?

I only use it to to spray the perlite and the walls, and distilled water for misting the rest of the time.

awsome man I just threw my first cake back in the fruiting chamber going for round six I left it dunked for 36 hours to to see if longer than 24 hour dunk could help, it felt very heavy this time compared to other times, i've gotten 35 grams from just the two cakes i've got
