Envy A & B Nutrients great for tap water

I found some nutrients at my local hydro store called Envy. Did a search on here and didn't find any info about them so figured I would share. I started out using Ionic and then moved up to Botanicare Tri-Flex. WIth the Tri-Flex I was having bad pH flux and had to adjust ever day some times 2-3 times a day. I use tap water that starts off at about 7.0pH. I go down to my local hydro store and start looking around. I talk to the owner and tell him I am just not happy with Tri-Flex and what would he suggest. He shows me this stuff called Envy and says he has been using it over 20 years. It comes in a 2 part mix. Part A and Part B. U mix equal amounts of part A and B during the entire life cycle of the plants. However do not mix them together without being mixed with water. Dunno why its just a warning. Also they dont use salts. Envy doesn't stain ur water like alot of nutes do. My water stays crystal clear now. Envy also has little to no odor. Since switching to these nutes I have noticed much faster growth and healthier plants. My pH stays at 5.7-5.8 98% of the time. What makes it even better is it was only $30 each gallon so $60 total.

This was the confirmation I needed on getting some envy A & B. I've been thinking about it for a while, thank you for posting this. :)

I bought this garbage because I read the above thread and was in need of cheaper nutes. The old adage "you get what you pay for". do not buy this crap. when I added it to 7.0 tap water, the PH went from 7.0 to 2.5! This was from using less then the listed amount. Total garbage. don't waste you dollars. I joined this site specifically to address this post.

I've been using Envy since the '90's. It's true, it does drop your ph dramatically. No, biggie...just use some up! I don't really care what you use, they all work. However, Envy is the best veg formula I have ever used..period. I've run the gammet with nutes and systems. If you want a no frills, rock solid, workhorse...give envy a shot. It works GREAT with tap water and we all know many nute lines are finicky with tap.

Oh, and definitely use less than the label calls for. Adjust your ph and get ready to rock!

As a matter of fact I have used it. I got a free quart of each from my shop one time when I bought like a grand in gear. To this day I believe it may have been my best harvest ever. Now I am not saying that from a weight stand point because I never weigh my whole harvest, so I couldn't begin to compare. I am saying that from the flavor, and aroma. Its funny because it took me like 2-3 harvest afterwards to figure out it was the envy that did it. I had changed a couple things all at once, and using the Envy as well as how I dried were two of those things. Well that harvest tasted so sweet, and had the best fruity smell I've ever gotten from my plants(which I've been running the same clones of WW for 4 years). Now I'm not saying it doesn't normally smell and taste great, that's why i keep it around. But that harvest was noticeably different. I tried to recreate it, and long story short it was the nutes that were different. Sadly I have moved and don't order supplies online so I haven't been able to get any for the last 3 years. I am definitely going to be growing with Envy again once I figure it out. I don't remember the PH being an Issue. I use ph up and down as needed, but I don't remember having to adjust it a lot so I'm not sure what the other guys issue was, but I've literally been trying to get these for 3 years now.

Peace TC

Its been a long time now since I used the envy but I don't think it matters which is which. I believe if my memory is correct that you use equal parts of both bottles through the whole life of the garden. I know for a fact its not a veg mix and a flower mix. Its just a 2 part nutrient that grows great plants. Seeing this thread come back up makes me really want to finally order a few gallons and start using the Envy again it was awesome. Also like jiji said a few posts up don't mix them directly, mix them with water, then mix them together so the nutrients don't precipitate out.

I believe this is a necessary necro.

Just received a quart of each Envy A & B to give it a try. I like to keep things pretty basic, I don't use boosters and crap. So I will be doing my next full hydro run with Envy nutrients only, plus an extra CalMag supplement and microbe teas. I usually stick to Jack's or Flora series for all of my gardening needs so maybe this will shake things up in a better way!

I like lesser known things I've noticed... like finding a hidden gem. Actually, @Thundercat I think your subtle testimonials here and there on these forums are what made me pull the trigger on these.

Well I look forward to seeing what you think of it, please keep me updated! I am finally using it full time after all these years. I got enough to run for probably the rest of the year and really test it well. It has given me great results so far. The plants seem to love it, the bud smells strong and taste great. I might try adding in some mag sulfate to the mix for one strain but it really seems pretty well balanced for most from clone till harvest.

I love that its super clean, zero residue EVER and seems to have all the bells and whistles like amino acids, and chelation. Since it isn't marketed to the cannabis industry its sold for a very fair price. The ONLY downside I've noticed yet is having to order it. NO ONE carries it in stock.

We used Envy back in 2006-2007 for awhile with coco. It was fine, we produced nice plants and yields. I switched from that to the Lucas formula for awhile but there is nothing wrong with Envy really. Now days I use Jacks with nice results and very cost effective.

This is Tutankhamen at day 49 (since pistils) running the Envy line:

I haven't grown this strain before so comparisons are dimly lit at best, but plants seem to thrive on it well. Grew a few males with it before this plant.
Struggled with dialing the feeding, it's an extremely heavy feeding strain specifically with K and N, my goodness... if I let the ppm drop below a certain number it immediately starts spotting on the leaves and veins and showing its displeasure. Once I took the plunge and dosed wayyyy higher than I would have guessed, it exploded. I believe this to be a strain factor, the nutrients are certainly as concentrated or more than comparable products.

Anyway, all in all seems great. Whether or not it's special compared to Jack's and flora, not sure yet, but willing to keep running it full-time to learn more. Also stoked that I found a true 45-50 day-er that packs serious resin. I hit it with some stud pollen :) will be processing most of this plant into wax. I may try a "live" qwiso run and report back.

Do you still use Envy fertilizer these days?

I honestly never checked. I always lived in illegal states, so ordering grow supplies was never high on my list of things to do. In all reality Envy is just a agricultural nutrient, not cannabis specific so I would have been fine. Since I moved to OR I haven't had a garden of my own so I"m still sitting on a couple gallons of Envy for as soon as I get a spot again.
