what happens to a new indoor plant that is only getting 14 or 15 hours of light a day? Will it grow slower? produce less? turn hermi? or what?

The plant will react just like it would to any stress. Yes slow growth and who knows what else will be messed up.

I think that 14 hours a day is the lowest you can go without triggering budding. I may be wrong though resulting in spontaneous combustion

thanks for all the helpful, and unhelpful but funny comment. I can deal with the slow growth but spontaneous combustion will be difficult.
