rigged another 4 cfl's arround my girl, so got 6 above in the hood and 6 arround it, im sure that should be enough now, as i have run out of plug sockets lol, also found a great way to mount lights in diferent places arround my plant, got an old metal type clother horse and bent it to fit snuggly arround my plant, the lights are just held to the frame with electrical tape, so i can adjust my lights to any specific spot arround my plant, that should be enough cfl's for 1 plant right?

Damn that's a tall plant. And there's 6 more cfl's in the hood above it? How many watts are those bulbs? Is it on 12/12 yet?

When you switched it into flowering did you change the bulbs to around 2700k (assuming you were using 6500k for veg)? That does look like alot of lights but you would have to add the lumens up to see if it needs more but the plant looks strong. Since its just barely into flower it will probably get alot bigger and start to hit the top of the hood. maybe you could start to bend the top slightly? For a 100 watt equivilent that is a pretty big bulb especially for using only 18 watts. i have some 100 watt equivilents that are 23 watts and smaller than that. lookin good man.:leaf:

i had 4 above and 2 lower down either side, in the very early stages of veg then changed to 6 above and the 2 eitherside, but sice its grown a foot in 10 days of flowering it needed some more lights arround it 12X18watt each bulb puts out 1100 lumens each, the hood is on chains and gets raised daily, try to keep it atleast an inch away at all times

Yeah, I thought they were bigger than 18w bulbs too. And dr danky is right, it's gonna stretch right up into your hood unless you start training it. If cost isn't a big issue, you could really increase your yield by adding more lights that have higher lumens, but like dr danky says, make sure most of them are flowering bulbs (2700K). :peace:

I'm fairly new to growing but I would change out the lamps you have for something like this.
It's 42watts, 2700K. Just my .028)

I know what your saying but.. i seen those bulbs priced £7 each so to change all my bulbs would cost me £112 and i dont really want to sink too much money into my first grow. These seem to be ok so far if you throw a good few of em on 1 plant, prob when i get some weed out of my first test plant, that will spur me on to invest in the bulbs for my 7, 2 week olds :)
