End of Flowering. Branches won't Support Weight of Flower (bud)

Hi,

I'm coming into the last week or so of my flowering, and i've been noticing that my branches have started to really have problems holding the weight of the flowers (bud).

Some of the branches have began turning almost upside down.

Is this a normal cycle for the plant or is this a serious issue with my plant? This is the first plant that I've got into flowering stage, others are a few weeks behind it.

You're good.. some strains do not hve very strong branch structure...

Just tie them up or stake them... hold them up into the light if you can..

I had one grow that looked like spider man came to the room... strings EVERYWHERE... hooked from the ceiling...

LOL, I've had the spiderweb thing going on too. I had strings running wall too wall, every which way. It did the job though, so that's all that matters.

Now i use stakes.

Put a fan in your grow room blowing gently over you plants.... you'll be surprised at how much stronger they'll be.

werd, not enough grows have proper air circulation over thier plants. Remember that in nature the plants would withstand some pretty intense winds, which cause small breaks in the plants stem. When they heal the plant comes back MUCH stronger. Costco sells the best fans for this purpose in my opinion. They are turbine style, cost 50 bucks and have a "nature" mode that gives off random bursts of "wind". If done right, the plant should also build up tissue around it's joints where the branches meet the main stem. Almost looks like green muscle!
The branches on can in fact get so strong that it becomes difficult to pull them down with your hand without tipping the whole pot over. Then you know your on the right track.

Some strains are weak though...

Cinderella 99 for example at about week 5 can;t support anything anymore...

Some strains are just viny and thin by nature..

I agree with having the fan... and everything else that was said, but sometimes if the DNA calls for a weak limb structure, than that is what it will have...

And I have noticed that this is mostly a Hybrid issue (Sativa/Indica mixed)..:eyesmoke:
