* MH bulbs run hotter at 400W and 1000W. I moved plants closer and farter from the bulbs to watch them. MH bulbs burnt plants at 12 inches. HPS mostly didn't.
* Seedlings and clones grow bushier during veg with MH. S'lings @ HPS tend to stretch and fall over. (Because of the heat factor I still veg with a 400W HPS.)
* Plants do seem to thrive when they are exposed to both bulb types in their lifetime. Argues for the traditional MH for vegging and HPS for flowering mantra.

4000 watt in dirt flower room.... 2000 watt in current culture room.... central air plus ac for bud rooms... 1500 watts in veg room... plenty of fans, chiller, plus normal house stuff... $450 +/- $50 a month.... that's just 2 ozs in my perpetual grow a month... so I don't bitch...

BC Canada...and you can't immigrate here unless you are from a third world country
