Electricity problems

Hello,
I have some problems with the electricity on my grow room. It sometimes turn off for some time. And now I am on the flowering period for 3 weeks now, everything seems to be going perfectly fine, however, todat was the second time I got my power off so all lights skipped one 12h cycle. Temperatures are OK, but the main question is - can some light skipping do good damage? For example in my situation, it is the second time during the 3 weeks my lights where off for some time, most likelly, I skipped 2 cycles so it was like not 12/12, but 36h off and then back to normal 12/12.

Look forward for your opinions! Thanks!

sounds to me like your running to much on your circuit, is it old installations ? do you physical have to turn it on agin ?

can you run another wire from another room/circuit ?

Im in a new apartment with new installations and got a 4 circuit, each can run 1000W and even tho I "only" run a 600W HPS and around 900W in total with fans and every thing I still run a wire from another room/circuit for my fans alone so I only run the 600W on one circuit if that make any sense ?

I'm no electrician... But a "friend" of mine lost power during Hurricane Sandy for 5 days... everything returned to normal when the lights came back on. I really don't think a light cycle here or there will kill your yield.

The problem is with the connection Slipon, however this problem can not be fixed until I finish my current grow. It still needs some more 7 weeks to finish and I believe some more power offs are still possible. However it will not be more than one cycle, but still so far I had 2 power offs and I need to turn it on manually each time.

The questions remains, with this kind of "sometimes" power of, am I at the high risk of loosing the good yield? As I believe too much light is bad during the flowering, but what about too less? Maybe it will only delay the final date?

dont think your in risk of anything, as you said yourself, to much is not good, but I only think a day or two off will tricker them to finish faster if anything ..

Is it an incoming power issue(ask your neighbors if they are having any power disruptions), or is specific to your house. If it only to your house then you need to get that resolved, as it could be a hazard to that circuit and your house. This is coming from a licensed electrician.

Peace,:D

Yea i also run my 600watt light to a different room only because it blew the fuse.

Last year I had a similar thing going on and it turned out to be one of those hippy lightbulbs on a dimmer switch. Funny thing was that light was not even on my circuits at all, it was on a whole seperate account in the same building, different meter and everything. I know this to be true too because my place was completely rewired a couple months before. The wiring where the offending light is, was also rewired although about 10 years ago.

Sure enough if my breaker was tripped, some one had moved the dimmer switch on that light even if only a tiny bit. I had access to the light and changed it out for a regular light and no problems since at least so far. I mention this because it illustrates how problems like this aren't always "our" fault and not always obvious.

An electrician told me it was probably becuase the breakers were arc-fault breakers (??).
