Electrical Question

I have heard several people mention something called "amp converters" but I cant find anything on google about them.

Can someone tell me what it is, what it does, and would I need one if I am running 4x 1000w lights and some fans and what not?

is there a specific reason you think you might need one?

if you are running all that on a normal circuit then yes you probably need to do something different. I am not sure what an amp converter is but I am sure that your best bet would be to run a few more lines to your room. 15 amps (a normal bedroom) equals 1800watts.
