Electrical question

I recently bought a lamp that takes 3 bulbs, but the manual says to only use 60-watt bulbs. I bought 3 CFL's for the lamp that are 100w. Is this safe to do or am I playing with fire, literally?

THEY ARE 26W WITH THE EQUAL OF 100w, so if the outlet can take upto 100w and you have 78w with the three you should be ok

yeah on cfl's the lower number is the actual consumption and the higher number is the equivalent to number...

Always ignore the equivalent rating, it's completely irrelevant to plant growing. Just means it puts out the same amount of lumens as a 100w incandescent, which are one step up from a candle and a picture of the sun.
