what you have to watch for are your peak hours. like you run for 3 months at 12/12 so your bill 300. then you run 18/6 for 3 months now your bill 340 a month. then back again to 300. then again to 340. instead of running all your lights at the same time i run mine like this i have 4 room when one goes off the next on goes on theres always lights running and a steady flow of eletric. no jump also watch your seasons when you have a jump in the summer ok people run air units and winters ok. if you have a spike in the fall and spring somethings up.

most places don't care provided you are paying the bill on time every month. My buddy runs 3 X 1000w and his bills are pretty absurd. If you're that concerned check into leds. I cut my power bill in half from about 1300w (2x400w hps plus a lot of cfl) to 600w (4 panels that use roughly 150w a piece). No drop in yields, big drop in power consumption and I don't have to high speed vent either.

It is expensive up front but if you go this route just make sure you get panels from a reputable company that offers a 3 year warranty. Over 3 years you'll make up the initial investment and then some with the decrease in power and not having to change bulbs or potentially a ballast. That and your power bill won't look as off compared to everyone else in the neighborhood. Here are some autos I grew start to finish with led. Usually takes about 60 days to get 2 oz off one plant.View attachment 1936879View attachment 1936880View attachment 1936881View attachment 1936882Bella side cola.jpgA sweet caramel dream.jpgDSC01077.jpg

You don't have to worry about anything. The power company is not affiliated in anyway to the law. There's not cop at the power company going, "ok hand over all the addresses of homes that increased energy use." not happening.

You don't get "red flagged" or any nonsense. They are a business, and they want your money. So give it to them! Your bill would have to jump to over a thousand just to raise suspicion. For all they care u just upgraded a new tv and computer and got a hot tub. Power companies just don't care.

What lights are you useing that made ur bill jump so high?
1000 watt hps....two 1500 watt space heaters....its cold around here and the grow room wasnt insulated enough. 6inch exhaust fan,box fan for circulation, humidifier, and a couple flourescents in a clone box.

Thanks man, and yes all led start to finish. I have 3 progrow 180s and 1 pro grow 250 from hydroponics hut, also have a blackstar 50w ufo I use for side lighting or seed starting. The hydro huts have switchable spectrum switches (veg only, flower only, or full illumination). I've also grown with GLH they're good too but I had one of their early 2011 models that were riddled with issues so I flipped that one. Have also used some no name Chinese shit which doesn't really work that well. The blackstar is ok but in terms of bang for your buck the 14 band cree 3w chips used in the pro grows are great.

I used Bush Dr Microbe brew start to finish full strength, along with cal mag at full strength. I've found my led plants need more cal mag for some reason - not sure why. I also use Tiger Bloom at full strength at the first signs of flowering combined with 1/2 doses of open sesame (first two weeks flower), beastie bloom at 1/2 strength (3rd week), cha-ching 1/2 strength weeks four and five of flower followed by a sledgehammer flush. I also add what is essentially blackstrap molasses (Pineapple Rush, Budy Candy ect - I buy small sample jars off ebay).

Sorry I jacked the thread there for a minutes guys.

Russian rocket fuel is pretty good but if you haven't purchased yet try Short Stuff's Auto-Assassin or MI-5 they're better. In the way of others (I know I'm way off topic here btw) Caramel Cream from Sweet Seeds and Smurfberry from Sagamantha are also pretty ragin.
