EL MONSTRE babies......when can they get full light?

Hey everyone, i orded some 'chocolate rain' from sannie seeds (EXCELLENT SELLER!) and i recieved 5 'el monstre' f2 freebies (what does f2 mean?). i already have some 'Rocklock growing so i didnt want to grow the 10 chocolate rains just yet, so i put the five el monstre seeds in a damp napkin to sprout and all 5 sprouted within 2 days..... so here they are as of today and i have them under two regular flo's (with kitchen light bulbls lol), i was wondering when they were ready to be put under the 600 watt hps. thanks and if anyone has any info on the strain (el monstre) please share, i couldnt find much on it.

they are ready just keep it far enough heats not a issue till they have a better root system

hey i have another question, i figured i'ld ask it here instead of start a new thread.......Can i plug a 1000 watt ballast and light into a regular 3 prong socket? if so, can i plug it and other stuff into a multi(plug extension cord? i see all these post on here with people that hook up seperate breakers ect.......i know nothing about electrical and would not be able to do any of that stuff, all i know is i just picked up this huge 1000 watt light and i dont wanna hook it up and blowout my power or burn my house down. any tips or advice would be appreciated

as long as your amp rating is ok you shouldnt have a problem, plug it in and if it doesnt trip your switch your good to go..

if i remember rightly most household ring mains have a 30amp breaker/fuse so add up all the wattage from your equipment and divide it by the voltage (240 if in UK) and providing the end number is less than 30(amps) your good to go, an example as i realise im rambling a bit.... if you had 2000 watts running 2000W/240V=8.3amp

thanks for the advice guys! i appreciate it......so the little 'monstres' are going under the artificial sun today.... since i now have two HID lights (1000,600w) i'm thinking im gonna set up a seperate flowering room/area and put the 1000 watt up today. i was thinking of using the 600watt i have up rite now for a small veggieing area. you guys think a 600 watt is too much for veggieing? whould it be a better idea to get some cfls for veggieing and put the 600 watt with the 1000 and have 1600 watts for flowering? maybe even put a metal halide bulb in the 600w and have 1000w hps and 600w mh for flowering? does that sound good? gimme some ideas guys, what would you do?
