El Connoisseur's FLOWERING JOURNAL(weeks 3-9) / OG Kush Fem from Dinafem / (SoG+Schwagger Def/tion).

Hello all cannacalties,
the project is for personal use, recreational and also medical purposes..

So let’s start right now!


I just started a Flowring Journal which includes weeks 3-9 of FLOWERING..I will update the journal every week but that doesn’t mean that if I want to update between this period I wont do it..

Well, the strains are Dinafem’s Feminized OG Kush and today they are at day 20 of flowering.

They live in a 1m x 1m tent, into 4x 20L plastic pots.

About lighting I have one Lumatek HPS 600w 400v 2000K (690w sl) + Vipaspectra(VEG spectrum only)(270 true watts) + 35w LED Disano 2100K – [TOTAL: 995 watts Hybrid HPS/LED System FullSpectrum, which is more or less 1700 PAR in total].
I think I have the perfect spectrum which extends from 430nm to 810nm, in an analogy of red blue at 80/20 . I am almost horny .

Also I have Humidifier, Dehumidifier, A/C, and fans for the best environment I can have.
Additionally I have created a ‘’closed’’ environment, with physical air flow(input-output).

I use pure COCO and I feed Flora Nova and BioRoots by GENERAL HYDROPONICS.
All the other supplements I use are by ADVANCED NUTRIENTS (Big Bud, B-52, Bud Cundy, Overdrive, Sensi Cal-Mag and Flowless Finish).
My PH Down is the organic one from CANNA. Also I have CO2 supplement.

About Veg lifetime and training, I vegged exactly 30 days, and I use the SoG method combined with TOP, bending actions, and lollipoping.
I topped once at day 15, at day25 i bended them and cleared the 1st 1/3 of the bottom of the plants, and after 5 recovering days I switched them to flowering.

In Flowering I use the Schwager method of defoliation, but only in flowering.. in veg I don’t defoliate anything due to my fast veg cycle.
That practically means that at Day 20 FLOWERING (for indicas/indica hybrids which are the only strains I grow), I leaf strip the hell out cause my opinion is that from week 4 and then the plant doesn’t need any fan leaves..anyways..after this defoliation I don’t touch the plant till harvest unless if a fanleaf covers a head..only in this situation.
Due to the defoliation the plant has been formed to clear bud sticks, so the possibility a leaf to cover a head is much lower than a not-defoliated plant but this is another story.

HATERS ABOUT DEFOLIATION..THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR YOU unless if you want to change your mind! I know this war will never finish!

Bellow I have some pics from day 20 that is today, from before and after the defoliation, also there is a photo of the early production progress of the buds, and a photo of my whole project.. Bilieve me, 2 days after the defoliation, that is at day 22, they will be ready to start budding like there is no tomorrow ..

I will keep it updated fellas, so you can see the progress by yourselves..

Thank you bro, for your support and your opinion..they are just deleafed..next update will show much more..I am new to this method cause i was afraid to do it at my previous grows..but for everything there is the very 1st time ..i researched and dedicated so much time for this method before i do it cause i was scrogger till the bone and scared also . As a result i decided to try it for 1st time and compare..

@EL Connoisseur well there is nothing wrong with those plants or the defoliation, as you have seen it's how I operate and I have no complaints or loss of yield. The Dinafem OG Kush is a really nice tasting strain, you should get good solid nugs and after a proper dry and cure, they will fluff up lovely in the grinder and the stone should put you in a real nice place for a few hours. You should try their Gorilla fuckme it's strong and a dam heavy yielder.
Don't let people get on your nerves better to just ignore them and move on. Happy growing and I will tag along.

Thank you for passing by bro and i appreciate your opinion..Especially because that is from a grower with knowledge and experience about the things we are discussing..you are also right about the nervous..
I cant w8 for the moment, (when i open up the grinder after a week of slowly drying and 1 month of curing, to smell the herb, roll it in a joint and taste all the terpenes which are created by my overthinking work(over thinking with the good meaning)..
Also i was interested in HSO Bubba Kush for my next run..i really become confused when i think for the next crop..I am between Gorilla Dinafem, Dinafem Bubba Kush and HSO Bubba Kush..One whole month i have been thinking about this..
I know the Gorilla Dinafem has more thc content than the others, but i dont know if the final combination of Gorilla's THC-CBD-terpenes will give a better result than HSO Bubba Kush, Dinafem Bubba Kush or Dinafems OGK..
I ALSO dont know about the terpenes profile of HSO Bubba Kush and Dinafem Bubba Kush and how they will be combined with the thc levels of each strain..
So I am really confused..
I am lucky now i have clues for the Gorilla..
May do you have any info for the HSO Bubba Kush or Dinafem Bubba Kush?..
Dinafem's Bubba Kush also makes me to be interest in, even the low percentages of thc in compare with the others..but i trust the final combination of THC - high CBD(up to 0.22%) for a THC strain - terpenes(which i dont know about)..
Any information are well coming and appreciated!

What's up connoisuer!! Very nice man. Gotta say you do things very similar to me. And your balls are bigger than mine 4sure. I'll b watching your journal closely. I've been tempted to defol like you have done, many times but always chickened out lol. And you've done it to some nice healthy ladies for sure! I can see some nice light penetration!

Well if you see at the picture of the whole project, above the reflector of the hps, there is a little green bag..This bag generates co2.. It lasts up to 3 months and it covers a canopy up to 10m2..
So, this is perfect for me.!

I ll update it as soon as possible cause now i dont have a camera lol ..

I am interested in also about the results cause its the very 1st time i do it..
I know they are gonna be thriving..
I am anxious about how perfect that grow will go!

Ohhh yep. I see it! I use a generator with ppm controller. Was interested to see where you set your co2 at. But that's easy. Set and 4get lol. Nah youll go alright man. I think the key to a heavy defol is keeping plants nice and healthy throughout flower and providing them with everything they need so they don't have to draw from leaves!? They look good to me! I've seen plenty of grows defoliated exactly like yours with massive yields!!

Well..ofc i keep them healthy with everything they need BUT..
I defoliate at day 20 and not earlier, in order to let the flowers are mature enough to not need those leaves..this is my logic..other people with also massive yields strip at day 15 or even day 13..i dont want to do it..
Also in veg, i dont defoliate anything except the clearing of the bottom..because i veg only 4 weeks, and i bilieve i must not defoliate anything at this age of the plants!

Yep set and forget brother! I believe they do it earlier before the onset of flowers so they kinda recover before flowering really commences......? But theirs more than one way to skin a cat lol. I've defoliated in veg And found it allowed more light to nodes (along with multiple topping) and the branching was unreal! But I did veg for 2 months lol. Keep doing what your doing. Throw some pics up often. People love that shit! And just ignore that other guy. He's gonna get kicked soon anyway lol.

Haha. And yea that would be good. I nearly did this last grow. Wont be a side by side comparison but will be good to get a general idea i think.

The older is Scrog as you see, Critical kush from barneys farm..day 21 flowering..
Lets see about the discrepancies!
