I know It does also with peat as it breaks down that drops the ph down to low if not limed, just water some pure peat moss and see It shrink right down and get muddy coco won't do that.

thanks man I'm gonna run some coco next. would you like to buy a pound of that soil stater from my Ebay account? i bought way too much of it lol

oh but I've heard that coco had an issue with a specific nutrient or two..that it doesn't retain it well or it doesn't chelate it well or something. do you know what I'm taking about? can you teach me please?

Coco has lots of potassium and can take some time for it to absorb minerals so It should be preloaded with nutes by feeding the coco at half strength and let it sit a week or two, when mixed with compost do it a couple of weeks before you need it so everything evens out.
