Effects of LST in 3 weeks

I top my plants down to one node, after they have 3 or 4...so I cut the plant all the way back to the first set of leaves after the cotyledons...then I affix both resulting branches out to the sides...after they get a little ways out from the main I top those branches on both sides...so now I have 4 main colas coming off of the main nodes...I just have to keep taking off all the mid branch growth on both branches...This way I don't get any small branches, and where as sometimes you will get a lot of tops but only one or 2 are big enough to be considered colas...the rest end up being just nuggets...I don't like that...I would rather have just a few main branches of equal size, and weediness...

because the side branches r still small or smaller in comparison to the main stem or cola yes or wrong
right...unless you have all the branches coming off the main stalk...that is where topping comes in...the branches and colas won't be the same size from just LST usually...At least they never are for me...

second true set of leaves, not quite sure what this means. How many sets does it go through before the first "true" set? My guess would be the very first set is not true but after that they are ?
When the seed germinates, the first lil round leaves you see are called seed leaves, or cotyledons.
The serrated leaves we all know and love are true leaves.
So it goes : seed, cotys, first set, second set and so on with the first set having one finger each then increasing as it grows.
From the bottom up: 1,1,3,3,5,7,9 and so on. Some will go from one blades on the first set to three blades on the second
