Ebb and grow first timer with questions

I am transferring from soil to CAP ebb and grow. Along with the pack came technofloras recipe for success. No i've never used these nutrients before and wondered what others had to say about it. Also when i first transplant them into the ebb and grow do i start them with half nutrients or any special additions (package came with thrive alive, sugar daddy, root 66, more than i know what to do with as all i used before was ionic grow, boost, and bloom in soil) Also what is the ideal temp for the water to be when flooding the roots and any ideas on how to keep it that temo. and finally how the hell do i dump and change resevoir in the middle of a grow. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah and flood frequency... I had a solid handle on soil and now I feel a bit overwhelmed.

Wow. That's alot of questions in one little post.
1. With the starter pack of nutes, there should have been a flyer that had dosages on it. Learn it, Use it, Love it. If not go to technoflora's website and download it.
2.The nutes are easy and to the point. Use the Thrivealive in everything. I use the Green lable for my clones and seedlings. I use the Red label for everything else. Sugardaddy I use in flower.Little babies put in need about 25% of full strength, gradually increased to full strength as you get closer to full vegetative state.
The Root66 is a good dip for your rooted transplant.
3. I keep my water temp between 70 and 68.
4.Flood frequency is a bit more complicated. Little babies need water about every 3 or 4 hours during daylight hours. I veg with flood every 3 hours. I flower with flood every 2 hours.
Only feed during daylight.
5. When you want to swap h20 you get a small pump like the ones your kit came with and a length of hose( length of hose varies for user ) drain the barrel and refill it all inbetween flood cycles. you will never get the leftovers out of each bucket site without a wet/dry shop vac. so don't worry about it and get it good at harvest time.
I have used the " BC" system for years. It is no better then any other and no worse then any other.
It has been very dependable, uniform, and has done me very well.
But I have found nute preference is like beer preference.(everybody likes theirs and not yours) With that said.
This is my only indoor system. I use several E&G systems and have never had a problem I didn't create.
I think you will be very pleased with this system. ( just a note) Don't use more then 18 or 20 buckets on one res. Big problems.:spew: They say it will handle more but it wont.
I have found 10 is the best per system.
I hope this helps. any more problems just ask.:weed:

Hey thanks alot. I've heard good things and am looking forward to the grow. One problem though, I'm told that tap water has to set for 24 hours before you can use it, if this is so the only ways i see possible is to get another 55 gallon drum and keep it next to the other one. Or find a better water source. Any thoughts?

As far as the chlorine you are correct and that is exactly how I do it personally. You can swap your h2o at lights out as well if you are in pinch.

For the best results ( this is assuming you have the room and the money )
I would purchase two barrels and a Hydropure pro.
Tap h2o in one barrel and run the hydro into the next barrel.
Or you could run a hose to the hydropure and fill both barrels.
Get a TDS meter and start watching your clear h2o levels.

Any time.
Grow Well, have fun, enjoy yourself.
I am sure you will do fine.
Just keep in mind. With hydro I feel the #1 contributor to plant problems is PH.
