Eating the Leaves for Food. . . What's the Nutritional Value?

So, I had a mishap with some falling stuff in my grow room. Plants were mostly undamaged, but a lot of leaves fell off.

I felt it was quite a waste to let such good leaves go to waste, so I ate them.

They tasted great!

Of course they will never get you high or anything, but I just wanted to eat them for the nutritional value. Yumm!

Anyway, I googled the nutritional value of marijuana leaves, but found nothing.

Does anybody know what the nutritional content is of marijuana? How is it as food?

lol, the seeds are normally used for food.Rather get a bag and collect all leaves and trimmings and extract the oils... pretty easy realy, and a supremo smoke.

i heard something crazy about eating either the nugs or the leaves. not sure which or else id tell you what i heard

Haha they taste good? I don't know most plant leaves taste nasty. I knew one kid on here ate his seedlings like a mother hamster eats their young when they feel threatened. I guess its because they rather let them die a quick death then to starve or be eaten by something else? Fuck im stoned lol.

Is there anything those boys won't do? I seriously could use this as a seasoning in pasta or something. To me, it tastes like baby Spinach with its own unique qualities. I'm certain I could add it to a pasta dish and get some compliments on it. The leaves can't be too large though, because they get kinda tough. It's the baby leaves that are the best. Yummmm!

Most plants cells, such as those found in tasty marijuana leaves are surrounded in a cell wall, and one of its major components is cellulose, which our stomachs cannot digest, I dont think you'd get much if any nutritional value from the leaves, but they'll make a tasty treat

Nope but here is a quick run through of how it works...

you need to make a pipe with two endcaps... I prefer copper.

You should be able to screw at least one endcap off...
In this cap drill alot of holes like a saltshaker... it will be your drain.

on the other cap you drill a single small hole in the centre just big enough to insert the tip of a lighter refil bottle's nipple.

put a coffee filter on the inside to filter the stuff comming out the salt shaker side... maybe you can screw the cap on over it....

Now you put all your leaves and clippings inside the pipe.put the coffee filter on and screw the saltshaker holed endcap on.


GO OUTSIDE AWAY FROM FIRES, ELECTRICAL OUTLETS AND DON'T SMOKE.

Squirt a whole bottle or two of lighter gas in the hole you made for that. Have a bowl below the tube collecting the liquid comming out the saltshaker side's holes...

Leave it open for the gas to evaporate... a low heatsource like a warmwaterbag under the bowl will speed up the evaping... leaving you with THC oil.
