Eating the butter ! !

Lots of talk about making butter here.
It's a smelly arduous process, after which made me loose my appetite for the butter.
But a measured dose can be ingested if masked properly.
While hot, I measured 13 T into a plastic Ball jar and froze each of the four jars.
That equals 39 x 1 t doses.
I determined that 1 t was too heavy a dose for me, and now use 1/2 t dose.
Yes, I use measuring spoons every time for consistency

The bakery down the street sells awesome bread that covers the taste.
pecan-almond-walnut or walnut-fig worked great.
The taste is palatable if spread out on a large enough surface.

I've also used fruit to mask the flavor. Cook down favorite fruit with favorite spice, small amount of sugar and pinch of salt.
When thoroughly dewatered, pack into jar. Spread butter and jam on that great bread.
All you will taste is the goodness of nature. Fruit and nuts.

Wait 1-2 hours, then enjoy your favorite hobby, get a good nights sleep, whatever.

I use shortening and it comes out stronger with less. :)
Anyways, I just take a 1/4 t and stick it to dissolve under my tongue. Totally nasty but within 15 mins all my pain is away. Try it sometime. Lol.

Why does your butter have such a strong flavor you have to try so hard to make it not noticeable...I use coconut oil cause its easier. It always tastes just like coconut oil..adds a nice touch to brownies .......maybe its cause I use hash oil

You are a very brave man ! !
Well I took a full t-spoon the first time I used it and very quickly regretted it. Lmao. My wife had to talk me down from the top of the world in a dizzying, can't breathe state of mind (twice). :) everything was cool until I turned out the lights to watch tv. It was great until then. Lol!
So a 1/4 - 1/2 t is all I need for several hours of relaxation

I'm interested in your butter making process.

i used to hate the taste of butter too, but my butter has been improving and my last batch was actually very good. I used dried and cured flower for that batch though.

Oh yes. Dried and cured for sure.
I used a recipe from one of the canna cookbooks. I dont remember which one offhand. I just packed them all away for the move.

I'd also like to know about the crisco, and coconut oil recipe's. What are the proportions?

I like coconut oil cause I don't have to wait as long for it to be a solid again, and I think it adds a nice flavor......all proportions should be the same, once you figure out how many mg's it takes you to feel your desired effects all oils have good solubility and will easily hold that amount..another reason I make hash oil first, much more accurate dosing

I bought coconut oil but made butter last time anyway ... Force of habit I guess, I'm looking forward to the infused coconut oil though. I added some (2oz coconut oil, 6oz butter) to my last cookie recipe and they were delicious.
My last butter batch was (I think) 40 grams of dried, cured flower (some slightly premature Mendo Purp that was throwing nanners due to a light leak in my room) run through my little chopper, in 2.5lbs unsalted butter. It maybe could have been a little more potent, but the butter turned out very yellow (like normal butter) and delicious.

I like the idea of making an extract first. Bubble hash was my first thought, but my first bubble hash attempt wasn't as fruitful as I had hoped. Not sure how that would work with ISO oil?

I just think our days of choking down nasty butter need to come to an end!

Iso works but because its a polar solvent, to obtain maximum efficiency you will inherently extract a lot of polar solubles, most everything including thca and its precursors along with plant acids ect have to be polar/water soluble to move about the plant.. to get the tastiest most potent extract a non polar solvent is preferred, a long butane soak for example. (I know working with butane, hexane etc scares some, but with some care and proper purging its just as safe and clean)

I prefer a polar solvent though, and a quick wash of 30 seconds or less will absorb moat cannabinoids and leave you with a better tasting butter

I am soooo cracking up. The next time she had a girls night, I bet she cramped up laughing.
But seriously, you probably scared the color outta her hair, seeing you like that.
Still, funnier than sh*t.

Just whipped up a couple loaves of Canna Pumpkin Bread.
My grandmothers recipe that I 'fudged-up' a little.
Used cooked pumpkin and spaghetti squash, and fresh grated zucchini.
Out of the oven in about 45 min from now.
Might wait till tomorrow to give it a try.
Let you know.

The good news here is that the cinnamon and cloves masked the dank odor of the butter. And the bread baked quicker than it usually does.

Too sweet! Shouldn't have used a 1/2 and 1/2 of white and dk brown sugar.
But the flavor is good, and masked the canna well.

Awesome! Couldn't detect the canna at all. The flavor was not as sweet as I first thought. Feels very familiar, and I calculated the dosage right.

I keep the butter recipe lighter than some may like.
And it is full of my signature mix of Sage n Sour, Motavation, Super Lemon Haze, Sensi Star, Amnesia Lemon Haze, and Tahoe OG Kush.
This batch may have had a bit of Plush Berry, Kandy Kush, and whatever else was on hand.

Spinnng on the front with the Amnesia, and Trainwreck in the Kandy. Medicinal hits an hour later. Smooth and slightly heavy on the way out.
This stuff would be good layered over time.

Made cookies using the packaged mix from the store.
Molasses came out crunchy (not hard), with barely detectable canna flavor
Sugar cookies came out a bit softer, but the canna butter was palatable.
Both made 1 small cookie with the dosage that I stick to. And 1 cookie...fubar for hours.
That's me anyways, but I'm a lightweight.

BTW, I added white chocolate chips, nuts, and other goodies to the dough. Not a good idea if dosage is an issue. It made the batter inconsistent. Some cookies had a bit more batter, some had a bit more chips and nut goodies.

The mix came in a pouch, and was really easy to use. It was slicing up the batter, that created confusion.

The moral of the story is...don't expect a stoner to calculate an equation. LOL
