Have you looked on the bottom of the leaves in the area where the one leaf has been gnawed on? If you have something like an inchworm they normally hang around a general area and do not travel much so if you have something like that you can likely spot it turning over the leaves.

When I have grown outside and spotted a leaf or some leaves that were chewed on I would look in the bushes around my home and catch a few praying mantises and put them on my plants. They are like the great white sharks of the insect world and they cleared my plants of any nibbling insects in no time at all. For smaller insect vermin like mites ladybugs will devour them.

I have wondered if someone had a plant matured enough to have frosty leaves and something like an inchworm ate them if they would then end up with a case of the munchies and then eat more and more and more?

I have the same small amount of damage to about 3 large fan leaves on one of my plants. I'm thinking that what ever it is, is coming out at night. upon complete inspection of my plant I can find no pests. I will have to monitor it tonight to see if I can find what might be doing this. I know its not that bad for now but I've had a single worm eat half a basil plant in one day once they get larger if you don't find them in time. Can anyone answer this question? What is doing this, and what am I looking for?... If I find it I will repost and let people know what little f&%* is cutting up my babies. Anyone???
