They are implying the flowering time will take between 9 and 11 weeks from the first signs of bud, not from 12/12. You veg them switch to 12/12 and wait 9 till 11 weeks. Dont fall for the marketing trap though, you girls will be finished when they are finished.

Yes... your second guess is correct. And, those time windows are often overly idealistic. The real time it takes depends mightly on the grower and grow conditions -- always longer. I just offer that up cuz I see a fair number of posts where people say.. "I know I shouldn't chop just yet, but we're moving and the Seed Co. said 9 weeks, and now it's 12... and they still need two more.." Etc.

I never heard the weeks for bloom as being from the day of sexing.....until I've seen it a few times here in the last few days...... As far as I know, it's from the day you put into 12/12.......but it's a guesstimate anyway.....most indicas finish around 8 weeks from light cycle change and sativas can go 3 months and longer, with the hybids falling somewhere between....... Many of the strains aren't stabilized so you can have different pheno types that can have very different bloom lengths.... I get a better estimate by watching the stretch phase.........it stops about 40% of the way through the cycle.....so when you realize it's stopped, you're about 1/2 way home........then it's about finding the timing to get the taste/buzz/weight that suits you best.... My strain can be harvested 6 weeks from light cycle change but gives me a 'skitzo' buzz, at 8 weeks more of a baked type.......I've never tried going longer as sometimes too long can bring out a hermi response as the plant throws out a last ditch attempt to procreate.........
Be as patient as you can, pluck a small lower bud at different intervals, dry them properly and test them to see what you prefer......that's the important part......

Flowering time is from when sex shows, another major problem people bring on themselves is swapping onto flowering nutes as soon as they go 12/12.
