Easy drain system for flood hydro systems

Al B.. Can u put up a picture showing how the garden hoses hook up to ur flood tray and maybe show the whole operation? it would be very helpful bc i think i am going to construct a mock-up of your op. thx

i did, but after water has been pumped into the flood try, where does it go after? is it drained back into the res?

Yep, all flood systems use centrifugal aquarium-type pumps. When the pump stops running, water drains backward through the pump by gravity to return to the res.

Not depicted in my diagram in post #1 is the overflow tube. The post was about the drain system, not the operation of flood systems, which we kinda presume the reader will know if they're looking to make draining their existing flood sys easier. ;)

Let's say I have a flood and drain bucket system .. If I wonna do a sog you have to take every plant out bucket every 2 weeks and move 1 row up or is there a easier way
