ACID?! You sound so cruel!

You can leave them in a cup of water with an air stone in it and root them quick.

If you want to do a box, soak them in h20 for 30m then dip in organic honey and put in soaked cube. Put under 20/4 DIM light spraying the dome and the leaves to maintain water and humidity until you see the roots coming out of the pot then you plant them.

Remember until she has roots, she can only uptake water from the leaves.

You could clone in a small cardboard box. Make a bubbler with Betty crocker butter tub. Should be able to make 4-6 clones every 1-2 weeks. You could buy single ez clone inserts to hold em in Place. There like 25¢ a piece. When you cut the holes. Cut a lil smaller than the insert circumference so they fit snug.

perlite!? that would a last choice for a rooting medium since it doesn't hold water at all - just the opposite it's an amendment to improve soil drainage - you'd have to keep a near constant flow of water on it to keep it wet enough. you don't need to dip the clones in acid or cloning gel, though the cloning gel will speed it up. not sure what kind of acid yer talkin bout there. if the mom s throwing single bladed leaves though, I would wait for her to snap out of it before you clone her so you don't preserve that funky expression
