Earth juice - Additives needed

Hey guys, been growing for a few years for myself but now I have a small group of friends who I grow for (medical) as it costs too much at the dispensary for how much they need.

Setup:
Veg - 4x4 tent
1 - 600W Viparsectra LED
Flower - 8x4 tent
2 x 600W HPS w/cooltube and reflector, and using hortilux bulbs (I used a 600W and a 1000W this last grow)
1 - 12" oscilating fan
2 - 6" inline fans, one for each light - One fan stays on full 100% of the time
Lights on 80 degrees 50% humidity - reducing to 40% in the last 3 weeks
Lights off 72 degrees 55% humidity - reducing to 40% in the last 3 weeks
5 Gal fabric pots
Pro-mix amended with gia green, bokashi, worm castings and perlite
Nutrients: Earth juice Cat, Grow, Micro, Bloom, meta K, molassas
I typically don't need any nutrients until the 2nd or 3rd week of flower due to the amendments.

Strains this last grow: Gorilla Glue #4, Gold Rush and Gelato from seed, 6 weeks to 12/12 flip

So everything went great with the plants being big healthy and green. Especially my Sativa dom Gold Rush and Gelato. They were huge. At about week 2 in flower I started my normal feeding of earth juice but the plants started showing cal deficiencies. I upped the grow for a bit which helped big time and everything went great. I just harvested and averaged 5OZ a plant which is nothing to complain about. Biggest issue - My buds are not as compact as they should be which means I'm leaving bulk behind.

What kind of additives should I be using to firm things up. Earth juice has a list of like 15 additives which is just pure nuts. Do I just need aboost of cal/mag like botanicare or maybe adding earth juice's big bloomin guano will help. Any advice?

and also, what i'd recommend, which is what i use, if you're interested in the big bloomin guano, is to use roots organic hpk - it's the same guano plus langbeinite which will give you some magnesium along with the calcium you're getting from the guano - it's really good stuff - i use it at 10ml/gal from week 1 to flush the whole way

It can be hard to dial in a grow when you combine dry amendments with liquid ferts. Earth juice created nice buds but I found botanicare Pure Blend Pro was so much easier to deal with, it's not totally organic but you get organic quality buds from it. Earth Juice really does better when you bubble it but that was too much work to be doing constantly, now I just bubble the occasional ewc tea. Are you using any fulvic/humic acid products with it? Creating a diverse microbiome with mycorrhizae, trichoderma, and rhizobacteria is really important to get the most out of earth juice, and the fulvic acid helps too. I would start from that angle rather than just blast it with p/k, which can also help bulk up buds-a lot of people come to find that they can get big beautiful buds without the huge PK boosters though. There are some good older Earth Juice threads...I would start there.

So I should clarify, I used to do earth juice right from veg. I just found that the plants did not benefit from it and it gave the fungas gnats an easy time to take over so I was combating with nematodes constantly. By delaying the EJ the soil and plant has its own defenses and I get 0 issues with bugs. Also, when I transplant from 1gal (veg) to 5 gal (flower) I also add a worm casting tea. With smaller plants, 2 week veg indicas, I will never even need EJ as the amendments are enough. Think outdoor grow... no nutes needed in proper soil.

I also bubble/tea my EJ 48 hours to allow the microbes to come to life and avoid the need for ph buffers.

ok - so if you start feeding in week 2 and you're also seeing deficiencies in week 2, like you said, what does that tell you?

I think Earth Juice is awesome stuff. My first round I did straight FFOF and kinda followed this guys final Earth Juice Schedule, but I used a little less since I was using soil. I bubbled it and a handful of EWC everytime and it was the tastiest bud I've ever had. They have a cal mag product too called OilyCann.

I agree with all the other gents you need to progressively increase your feed starting 2 to 3 weeks earlier and transition to flower nutes as you go.

I used to use this from seedling, to chop. Then I started with the amended soil. I will try starting the nutes earlier. I gave the EJ to this next run 2 weeks after popping so we will see. I just put in flower last week.

I am going to try EJ with the following schedule based on the EJ website, blog posts, and "top nutrient study". Making tea bubbling 24-48 hours. Any thoughts/additions/subtractions? This is in ml per gallon.
