its earth hour at 8:30 local time .. Turn off your lights for an hour to show you care.... I know most of you wont .. But i will.. It wont harm your plants .. Trust me .. And you will feel good about it ,

Or at least buy a used one. A new hybrid is far worse on the environmentally than keeping an old car running, no matter how bad the tailpipe smells.

I worked hard at reducing my driving; my commute to work is a staircase, I can walk to groceries, liquor store, restaurants, a hardware store and much more. My city is a Top Ten Best biking city and I love to ride- when my hip isn't bugging me. My vehicle is over ten years old, chosen for practicality and anonymity.

I'm using a lot of electricity, but it's in the service of research to reduce electrical consumption for our entire industry of power hogs.

So all in all, I really feel pretty good about my carbon footprint and what I'm doing with it.
